Excellent reference. Frustrating user interface. 1. When starting a search on opening the app or after long inactivity, the onscreen keyboard closes abruptly and I must tap and restart my search. 2. When reading an entry, any touch on the screen jumps to the entry for the word touched. Then... 3. There is no easy way to return after such an accident: neither the Android "back" button nor a search history. I reported these at least twice over the years but nothing has changed.
This dictionary used to be great. One used to be able to have 3 ways to search. You could search for a word that appeared in the definition, or use ambiguous place holders like "abr????" etc. Now there is zero ability to search with more advanced functionality. Now, it's one of my least favorite dictionaries. Plus, they try to force you to "login". In short, they no longer make great dictionaries, but rather "a dictionary user experience" PO'd I paid for this before their "improvement"
At least one other user has the same exact complaints as I have! 1. When I open the app to search, I begin to type, usually about 3 letters, and the keyboard suddenly closes, and I have to start the search again. 2. The screen is very reactive. Any hesitant touch will open the word your finger happens to be on and away you go! Usually on some small, everyday word. 3. I am repeatedly asked to buy the upgrade even though I am signed in to my paid version. I'll be looking for something else.
