As opposed to some other airlines' apps, easyJet's does not store previous bookings. It is impossible to retrieve old boarding passes if needed for proof of travel. Many institutions, especially in France where I live and work and where easyJet has a significant presence, require not just the booking confirmation with the receipt but also copies of the boarding passes in order to reimburse travel expenses. People who rely upon this app will find themselves unable to be reimbursed in such circumstances.
The app is really confusing when first used because of the way it does (or actually doesn't) store boarding passes. If you check-in several days before your flight, download boarding passes and then logout of the app the boarding passes are lost. So when you login again you have to press CHECK-IN again to download boarding passes. Also it doesn't appear that you can share boarding passes with other people in your party. So they all need a smartphone and access to your Easyjet account. Very poor.
flight cancelled. nice info email but none of the links to change flight, access help, etc. are functional. Edit: I appreciate the response and also CS was responsive post-event. However the app was supposed to be my resource to review and choose substitute flights. * It would not move past the cancelled flight in that functionality.* I had to use it instead (with success) to purchase an entirely new later flight without any way to ID it as my chosen substitute. Improvement possible. Tx
