Although the premise is great, I've noticed that failing a game doesn't negatively impact your overall "score" or "EPQ". It simply gives you an option to try again and when you do the next game is super easy. No matter what you always gain EPQ which means the system only records your good games and not your bad ones. The main thing this game is training your brain in are your pleasure senses from gaining rewards to make you feel more comfortable / good about keeping the subscription.
I love the 40+ exercises that keep you engaged and focused. They become increasingly challenging based on your EPQ or elevate proficiency quotient score. That, in turn, is calculated based on your speed and accuracy. I do wish they had additional criteria to measure your understanding or exercises and overall improvement. Exercises are categorized into several topics in three subjects: reading, writing, and math. I also wish they could tackle scientific subject matters. Overall, a fine app!
I love the app and have been using it daily for almost 170 days. I was excited about the daily addition of new vocabulary. As a Reading Interventionist, I enjoy building my own knowledge and vocab, as well as sharing with others. However, I have removed one star because the option to hear the pronunciation of words is no longer available, which I really liked. I would love to see this feature return!
