So far, so good! It does take a little while to get all of the settings straightened out and may drain your battery quickly or use a lot of data, depending on what you decide to set them at, but I LOVE the amount of options! I haven't noticed any ads obstructing your message view (switching from Yahoo bec. I can't stand the ads that I accidentally ended up clicking on). I wish there could be a toolbar on the bottom for message actions though. I'll update my review as needed.
The gold standard. To say that this app is impressive is an understatement. It is a monumental achievement, a painstaking perfectionist approach, a labor of love! The amount of granular control you have at your disposal is incredible, the app fully lives up to its promise to be privacy friendly, giving you options not even available in fully fledged desktop programs! It is built with the latest SDK, updated regularly. And the developer is incredibly kind, knowledgeable and responsive, bravo!!
As some have pointed out, there is a lot of settings/options to go through. But who said you have to do all of them at once? Make a point to do a page (or half/part a page) a day, and before you know it, you'll eventually either become familiar with many opts, or have made the necessary changes you needed. It is near impossible to meet the wide variety of needs and taste without a lot of setting options. I was able to set up Fairmail to allow me to mind the new emails--thats all "I" need.
