I'm suddenly having laggy videos on Pixel 8 Pro when holding down the shutter button in Photo mode (not video mode). I don't know if it's an update causing it or what, but I'm really frustrated. I use that feature all the time with my kids because I don't often have time to hurry and switch back and forth between Photo and Video modes. The videos lag nearly every second making them horrible and unusable.
The digital zoom stabilization feature tries to keep your camera framed on the same subject even if your aim drifts or shakes. However, for several months or more, it has been recording an image different from the one shown on the screen (likely it is cropping the wrong area of the image). This effectively ruins any video I take with zoom. Considering I bought the Pixel in part for the amazing camera, it puts a pretty big damper in that experience. Hope it's fixed soon 🤞
Works OK, but some issues need to be resolved. 1) Brightness, shadow, and white balance sliders have no indication of what level they are at, just tick marks. 2) at close distances, the flash does not sync with the shutter. Shutter activates after flash fires. 3) can't shoot 720p video (to save space) 4) can't shoot panoramas in landscape format. 5) After updating to v 9.3, unable to take a photo of a TV screen due to severe flicker, posterization, and bizarre colors. I regret updating.
