I love YouTube music to bits, more so after I got yt premium. However the is not the same as before, I can't see all the songs I have listened to like last time (I know it's an old update but I still liked the previous one). Then shuffling on the mobile app is horrendous. No matter how many times I press shuffle on my playlist/mixes nothing changes. The order is the same, even when I press shuffle play on the mix/playlist. It just doesn't mix the music. The web ver and desktop ver is fine tho.
The good: There are plenty of songs and the integration with YT admirable. The cons: The UI is cluttered and clumsy. There are too many things on the screen I don't need and not enough of what I do need. Filtering between music, podcasts, and YT videos is sloppy and confusing. The sorting of playlists is bad. If you pause a podcast, it doesn't always start where you left off. It's a great idea, but Google is doing too much. Streamline everything and make it simpler and cleaner.
You removed Google Podcasts for this?!? This app is inferior in every way. I loved Google Podcasts. It was easy to use, and interfaced easily with Android Auto. This app is terrible! It requires searching around for the podcast in the app each time, instead of picking up where you left off when you closed the app. I will be using iHeart or one of the other podcast apps instead of this.
