Until about a month ago, everything worked flawlessly. However, recently, it keeps stopping/buffering. This is the same no matter if I am at home on my personal and secure wifi, while traveling, walking, hotel rooms, etc. This applies to music and podcast playing. Once it stops, it buffers for almost a minute before picking up about a minute prior to when it stopped. I've tried deleting the app and re-installing, but i get the same results. Very disappointing.
The app bombards you with ads now. An ad plays on open, when you go to a podcast or station page, when you start or refresh an episode, and ads flash across the station or channel art every 5 seconds. When a video ad plays it does not pause what you were listening to and locks the controls so you have to skip back every time to hear what you missed. On top of that it locks you out completely if you don't have service, meaning anything you downloaded to listen to is completely unavailable.
2018 - Great variety and very broad choice of artist and music! Just absolutely love it! Part of the everyday, on the go or just down time. Thank you for an excellent app! 1/8/22, Sat. - Thank you iHeart for the music! Still lovin' it! Haven't had any problems and I don't get as many ads as what other users had mentioned.. like just now, I've been listening for over an hour and I haven't heard a single one. I just play it and leave it. Now I can enjoy it through my new Samsung Galaxy Watch4!
