I gave 4 starts because there is no background play which was the main feature of youtube vanced until it got shut down. Full screen works click the "watch full screen" at the top not the option on the video itself.
After 5 minutes of use: The UI sucks. Limited to 720p. Fullscreen button doesn't work. Viewing in fullscreen restarted the video. No SponsorBlock. No playlists. Uninstalled.
extra star for effort. just needs polish like the video not stopping when switching to and from fullscreen etc.
