The JBL Compact Connect is one of the worst apps ever created. The development team really needs to reevaluate how their software and firmware work. I recently updated to firmware v6.2.0, which rendered the app utterly useless. The devices struggle to connect, and the software doesn't allow the faders to slide up and down. Associating two speakers is useless. I have to buy a wireless passthrough that works better than the intended "software." I know, JBL can do better.
App only works on phones, not on tablets or anything with a large enough screen to easily or accurately set the device up. * Sliders need a numerical input field given they are so finicky. * App needs to work on All devices; tablets, Mac OS, Windows * There needs to be a way to back the settings up. The only way to get the device out of an unusable mode is to do a factory reset which removes all settings. Sometimes, removing the battery works, sometimes it doesn't.
I would like to install this app on my laptop but I guess I can't. Also I do not understand how to bring this back up after I shut the music and the speakers off until next use, because when I turn the speakers back on and open the app only one spaeker is shown instead of 2, and the app does not work right anyway at that point. So I had to uninstall the app and do a factory reset on the speakers and start the whole process again. Any ideas as to why?
