Horrible app, the ads are horrendous. The content is fantastic but pop ups come up over the entire screen and the close button is so small you can't shut the ad off to see any of the content. Advice for JTN, if you launch a horrible app like this first you will lose your core users right out of the gate and it's almost impossible to get them back. I would pay to get rid of the ads but that's not even an option. If you are doing this on purpose to cash in quickly then shame on you. Please fix...
January 11 2023 - the ads are rather aggressive, and the UI still needs some cleaning up. I would suggest this app take a look at NPR to get a feel of what a clean UI should be, as it currently feels like it was born from an undergrad's last-minute project. Figure out how to make the ads less invasive. I have to close out of a couple videos AND a couple of static ads before I can read the content. I completely understand the need for ad revenue, but not at the expense of user experience.
Need to delete. Click bait ads are difficult for me to distinguish from actual articles. No clear separation. Neutral. Not because of intended news, but because of how the ads are presented. Is this Just the News or Just the Click Bait? Sometimes the line between the two is blurred. It seems to me that many ads are designed to look like news stories.
