Was useful when you could highlight what you needed to highlight. Really liked being able to save and file things away. With the new liner it's all gone. The whole reason I was using liner is gone. Don't care for the new ai business. Now I have to figure out how to get my files out of this. Don't recommend this app anymore. It's not the original version.
Liner provides a good way to capture highlights as you read, but no good way to use the highlights. It should be easy to export your highlights for use with writing or a notes app. To do this in Liner, you have to hit a button over and over for every single highlight individually. It's an annoying waste of time. There’s no API or even a “download all” button. Without this, Liner is not for me.
While I do believe the app can be improved in some ways, I do not believe it to be as complicated to use as many of the reviews state. It definitely does work, and you are able to review the list of all highlights and can easily export them as a word document which saves so much time for note taking. It would be nice if the liner tool was an add-on to Firefox or chrome browsers because who wants to use a separate browser every time just to highlight stuff? All in all it does work and save time!
