Previous iterations of the app were very good. The last update, however, is terrible. Timelines are routinely littered with numerous double posts in succession, and swipe to refresh no longer displays most recent with any reliability.
Updated review: App has more features than the official app (easy switch from home/local/federated view, easy to follow hastags), however clicking on a message does not give the ability to mute or block instances only individuals, and when choosing languages to view, it still shows messages in languages outside my selected list.
Blocks instances the author doesn't like. Would be fine if that was limited to hate speech and abusive content. Unfortunately it's any instance the author simply doesn't like. None of this is disclosed upfront and even when using the app, it simply displays a generic "error" message. At least provide a better explanation so it doesn't waste other people's time.
