This app is okay. Not the best messaging app. The Samsung messaging app allows me to group conversations into different categories (like work and home). I really liked that feature. I have also been having issues sending messages to family and coworkers. The RCS is spotty at best and if that isn't working, the messages never switch to SMS even though I have that option turned on.
As of today, I am a first time user and my first impressions are generally good except for one huge disappointment. The area to compose and edit your messages is too small to work with. It makes it easier to mistakenly tap other screen elements around it (like "send" when you're not ready yet). This definitely needs to be fixed. Everything else is less important. We don't need an emoji button and microphone icon occupying the little bit of message editing space. That was poorly considered.
Latest update destroyed the app. It was great. Now it's so frustrating to use it makes me want to throw my phone across the room. You can't zoom on photos anymore. Sending several photos is now much harder because each time you send one it hides the photo selector, so you have to reopen it again. Edit: they did fix/reverse the update to the input box being on the left and weird. ±2 stars. Please also fix photo issues stated above.
