Google has forgotten that this device is, first, a telephone. This app leave a lot to be desired in that respect. The steps necessary to move a call from the pixel watch are many and complex. Sometimes it is not possible to end a call. The "bubble" that gives access to current call disappears. Opening the app only offers the ability to start another call. How about adding a couple of widgets to accomplish these tasks easily?
The app is mostly fine, but the voicemail doesn't play right away sometimes. I also don't like that through Google Fi, I don't have the option for Caller ID. When I brought this up with an agent they said they would change it to "Wireless Caller" and that was the only option available rather than having my name. But after having made that request, my caller ID on phones still shows different. I was on a family plan (not owned by me) with Verizon and it still shows the Caller ID from that plan.
Some significant flaws in this app: 1. If you have a Bluetooth connected device (like a watch), the single tap to switch to speaker mode is now hidden under a menu rather than a tap. This adds significant delay in taking phone calls on speaker, which is what I usually do in a home setting. Why is this not configurable? 2. Why is ongoing call not shown on top of notifications bar? Why do I have to hunt through notifications to find the ongoing call of I browse away?
