Paid version too expensive. Does what it's supposed to well, but I found it too expensive to subscribe. For those that really value it, the fee charged should be a one off. Yearly maybe £5 would be justifiable - but renting apps and software is just a money grabbing exercise. I forgot to cancel the trial on time and was charged the fee. I must commend the developers for agreeing to refund the subscription quickly and with no fuss.
So, I downloaded this app to try to identify a bug I've never seen before that bit me repeatedly. I spent over an hour trying to find it on Google and finally decided to try this route. Since 1 is the lowest star rating, I gave it 2... The additional star because the interface seems pretty user-friendly and straight forward, as well as being informative... IF it shows you the correct result 🤷🏻♀️ I still don't have the answer I'm looking for, and the price after the trial is ridiculous.
Variable performance. It would be easy to improve this app - for example, make use of location info when identifying a bug - I often get identifications for insects that only live on the other side of the world. Also, why not allow the app to open with no or a weak data connection? And giving a bit more camera control would be good. The actual identification can be good, but also produces some very bizarre results. Watch out if you get the free trial or you'll end up paying by accident
