I use this app often to aid in the identification of stones. It is consistently accurate and when the results are questionable there's enough information given to make an educated determination as to which result is the correct one. There's a wealth of information about many rocks and minerals and the "my collection" feature is a great way to keep track of the specimens I have. I might add that I use only the free version.
garbage. Freezes only identifies more commonly known correctly. The worst part is, you decide to try the free 7 day trial then realize its trash. Good luck canceling your subscription. I am still trying to figure out how to cancel. Deleting the app? When you do, it pops up a message stating that Deleting the app doesn't end the subscription. Emailing them because you've searched the app, their website, and Google play? Still waiting for a reply 4 days later. Maybe after 7 days they'll reply...
Identifies about ½ the samples submitted (only 4 so far). ____BUG: Adding photos under the editing options doesn't add the photos to the original photo(s), but replaces what was already there. It also doesn't add the photos in the order chosen. Quite annoying at times (especially when they replace the original photo submitted & identified). I'd consider buying unlimited IDs were it not for that major flaw.
