updating rating from 2 stars to 1 because six months later, the problems have not, in fact, been solved and just keep happening. I just opened the app for the first time in a while and guess what! immediately I had to force quit to make podcasts actually show up. I've switched to podcast republic. I don't like it as much but at least it *works*
Nothing worse than being on a long drive, listening to a downloaded podcast when suddenly the app completely stop playing and crashes every time you try to restart it. I've been using this for 8 or so years and like others are saying, it's getting that buggy, more features over functionality feeling. As a result I starting to look for another app for podcasts.
I liked this app a lot when I started using it a few years ago and recommended it frequently, but it's had problems lately. It's just got that glitchy feel, it freezes up, fails to load, sometimes the audio disappears. If it wasn't buggy and feeling like it's getting worse if anything it would still be a great app. Love it when it works. 😕
