App does what it's supposed to. But it's always running in the background unless you force stop. This causes my Pixel 8 to lock on portrait when looking at photos/videos - landscape won't work. Also severely impacts check capture feature on mobile deposit apps. Another thing to consider is when using this app, biometric (fingerprint reader) authentication won't work. No fault of the app - it's doing what you asked it to.
Tried a few other apps and found them to be very buggy. The ability to assign per app usage is a great option. Works for what I use it for, which is running Universal Remote in upside down portrait mode so I can charge while using that app. Love it! Developer has other stuff on GitHub also. Make sure auto-rotate is on for your phone.
Such a great app! Allows me to play one particular game - Evony - that's a PITA unless it's rotated when you're trying to find targets & objects on the map. The game itself won't rotate automatically without this app. Occasionally, I have to 'stop' & 'start' this app to get Evony rotating again, but it only takes a few seconds. Ads are only visible on the app's own window & not intrusive. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to play Evony.
