Excellent app, I'm 50 and the gains are incredible. I recommend playing with the app for a while, there is so much that can be customized I was unaware of when I started about 13 weeks ago. For instance, you may want to drop weight and do 8-12 reps, decrease sets to 4, to prioritize hypertrophy for while then go back to 5*5 for a while to prioritize strength. This app has many options.
Came back after a year hoping for improvements, and still the stability of the app is awful. First 3 workouts I tried have all had major issues with not saving data. If I switch away from the app for more than a few minutes it just resets all the reps back to zero? Why?!? Leg day today saved nothing after switching to a phone call near the end of a 2-hour lift. Everything I recorded reset to nothing... looks like a blank workout now. Thankful I chose monthly, because I give up with this app.
I love this app! It has given me what I need to really get motivated in the gym and a clear workout plan with examples (I have the paid version)! The only two things I wish were different: 1- If you could adjust goals. For example, I won't be doing weighted push ups, but I wish I could increase the goal number of push ups to continue improving that way (assist training workout additions). 2- I also wish it had a max rep calculator based on how many reps you can do with the weights assigned.
