Originally chose the package that was reduced to free. Then it forced me to upgrade to the expensive package because of some stupid credit that I dont think I even had. Ended up costing way more than I could afford for nothing. It's become hard to navigate when I need to add something; but when I finally found it I wasn't allowed to add or edit anything!!! The way they charge $$$ for nonsense makes it feel more like a scam than help. GO TO A LOCAL PERSON THAT DOES TAXES IT WILL BE CHEAPER!
It was dumb to think an app could do this complex job. I paid and had my files rejected 3 times through TurboTax. I got the exact same forms, paid someone else to file them for me and they went through immediately. Now TurboTax doesn't want to give me a refund for an unused service. Their customer service people are so bad, the hate for their job oozes through the call. I had to let the person know other non customer service jobs exist. Just an awful experience. Unprofessional, and fraudulent.
Was forced to upgrade from free in order to claim a tax "credit". The "upgrade" costs $39... But that only covers federal... You have to upgrade your state taxes, too, even though it's a federal credit and doesn't effect state taxes. On top of that, they charge a $4 fee anytime you use a credit card, so now I'm down about $90... And the tax "credit" that I received for this ridiculous upsell? Exactly $0.... Intuit gets worse every year. I will never recommend any of their software.
