the pop up ads make it frustrating to use. it won't turn on your TV if it's "off" or asleep. would be great if it came up with one ad then let me use it freely. as it is, I can't change the volume without pausing for 3 separate 10 second ads. very frustrating when my TV has drastically different volume requirements from app to app. it is good as a backup when I misplace the remote, but it feels like the punishment TV remote.
I purchased the lifetime option on the app. I enjoyed my TV for one day. The next day, I couldn't get the app to locate my TV. Everything said that the TV and phone were both connected to the wifi. I contacted Vulcan support via email. They immediately responded, with several troubleshooting options. They even emailed me back to see if anything had worked. It took going to my internet provider to discover that somehow, my phone had become disconnected from my wifi. Problem solved. Great support.
This app is very intrusive with ads, and the ads come back to back and can not be stopped. Roku is spelled correctly inside of the app yet if you ever get to see the remote when anything is pressed, back to the loud intrusive ads. Not recommended.
