My initial review was five stars because the app wouldn't work until I rated it. However, after using it the ads are so rampant that you can't even use the remote without ads popping up constantly. The volume buttons do not work and lead you to more ads or to pay their premium subscription. The remote also does not work for the on and off button. I had to use the cast mirror option to get the television on, so all in all maybe two stars and that's being generous.
Nah. If you need a remote for your Roku, download the Roku app. Any app that asks you to leave a 5 star review within the first 10 seconds of opening it for the first time, after having to exit a full screen advertisement, and tries to make you pay for a "premium subscription" isn't worth your time and you know that. In order for you to turn off your TV, it wants you to pay $2.99. That is honestly insane. Just get up and turn your TV off. Try harder, guys.
Greedy...I went back to change my review, I was asked to leave a 5 star review before I saw a required subscription. That's ridiculous, I already pay for Roku and have a Roku based TV. The remote should be a courtesy a courtesy option of convenience. I already pay for every subscription just to watch TV, which is just the way it goes, but asked to give a 5 star and then get hit with subscription prices, you know that's purposely done and will effect the review.
