Have used this app for many years. I like how I can use my preferred keyboard, how I can have my favorite contacts at the top, how I can customize colors. BUT, in the last few months I've discovered that even if I show a message sent, the receiver may not get it for several hours. And this is Verizon to Verizon, Samsung to Samsung even. I hate to switch apps but if the app isn't working and not sending messages then I will switch. Oh, and I tried to "report a bug" but it goes nowhere. Grrr
Decent app, but certain things are forced with no ability to resolve. #1 is there's no way to disable calling through the app. If I want to call, I'll use the phone. Accidentally hitting the phone icon (placed right near the menu button so it's easy to do) gets old. The app won't work unless the permission is enabled. Frustrating and unnecessary! #2 is a text fails, you'll get an alert icon until it's deleted, but they don't tell you which one unless you find it manually.
I used this messaging app exclusively for the last nine years. Unfortunately, over the last month when I switched phones, it will not read older SMS messages. I've done multiple phone transfers before, and I've had no issues up to this point. I know the SMS messages are there, because other freshly installed SMS applications can read them. It makes me sad, but I'm going to have to switch to a different messaging app in order to have my old messages show up.
