App works sometimes. Trying to add people to access is hit or miss. Sometimes the app won't save and just says "an unexpected error occurred". The connectivity to to lock itself is about 1 out of every 10 tries. Trying to remove is the same result. Lost connection to the lock, swapped out batteries and it worked again (with the lock installed for about 2 weeks). Tried factory reset, but the app couldn't do that either. Did a hard reset of the lock, reinstalled the app...still acts poorly.
Is great when it works... They do have a good tech support team to help with connectivity issues. Wish it didn't lose connection so often as I try to use this with an out of state property and it's a PIA when I can't add new guest cotes for access bc it's no longer connected despite no change in Internet connection and no issues with any other devices.
Super buggy, randomly fails, and need to force close and/or fiddle with the app to get it working again. Looks like they bought August and merged the systems and need to work out the bugs. Hardware is also hit or miss. My August WiFi is great, but my Yale Assure 2's keypad and Wi-Fi randomly failed and needed a reboot recently. I'm technically minded, so I can deal with this, but normal users should steer clear for now.
