The app is absolute garbage. I don't know what the deal is, but most of the time it's just black with sound. If I hit the back arrow I'll the. Get a screen where the video plays but I can't do picture in picture, pause, or rewind. I'll restart the app 10-15 times and then it'll work fine. But it's so bad I'll cancel youtube tv after this month and go somewhere else to watch basketball.
I love the sports part of this. It's amazing with the multi-view, but the on demand is so just awful. On demand typically means less commercial/ads, but theirs is basically the same. A 1 hour show is about 40-45 mins without commercials, but the ads are like 3mins long. So it's basically the same. Cmon youtube get rid of the on demand ads. It's making the experience worse...
One of the best modern cables with unlimited DVR and exceptional streaming performance on other platforms. But app sometimes can't play, sometimes doesn't resume from last watched position, offers no background play, stratospheric price, and you don't even get all sports games (eg some are exclusive to other apps/RSNs). Pretty unnecessary if your parents aren't paying for the subscription.
