Game company HAEGIN (CEO Young-il Lee) has announced the addition of star cheerleader Lee A-Young for their casual mobile home run battle game "Homerun Clash 2: Legends Derby." (Hereinafter Homerun Clash 2.)
'The newly added Lee A-Young is a slender and beautiful batter who is usually seen cheering on the athletes from the sidelines. One day, a video of her swinging a bat with the utmost confidence facing a pitching machine went viral, leading to requests for her to officially join "Homerun Clash."
The batter Lee A-Young happens to be based on the real-life cheerleader of the same name who currently cheers for the (baseball team) Fubon Guardians and the (basketball team) Taiwan Beer Leopards in Taiwan. Also, her in-game Unique Ability "LEEADOL" is a skill that takes its name from the real-life Lee A-Young's nickname.
The skill activates when the Scoreboard object is hit during a match, providing an increase in points and generating a shield gauge that protects the batter's HP. This dual functionality is expected to make her a popular choice among players who prioritize character abilities.
"We were curious to see what would happen if we added characters whose profession isn't an athlete to the game," said a Homerun Clash 2 official from HAEGIN. “That curiosity gave us the idea of creating a playable character based on Lee A-Young, a cheerleader who genuinely loves sports.” They added, "We plan to continue adding fun content related to baseball, sports, and gaming, so please continue to show your love and support for Homerun Clash 2."
Meanwhile, the real-life Lee A-Young is a popular cheerleader and social media influencer currently active in Korea and Taiwan, loved for her bright smile and high-level cheerleading skills.
