Tank Hero is an Arcade game developed by Clapfoot Inc. Do not deceive by the Arcade game or by its look; the game is superb.
Tank Hero has a rating of 4.3 out of 5 with over 435k votes and more than ten Million Installs on the Google Play Store. The game will surprise you with the intense fights between tanks and much more. The best part is that Tank Hero is a 1000% free-to-play game in which you do not need to spend money or game currency at anything.
You will be given one tank, which will get modifications as you progress further in the game. The game features more than 120 levels, three World/Maps, different modes, weapons, different types of AI Tanks to fight against, and much more. The best part about Tank Hero is that you can play it offline anywhere at any time, which we don't see much in most of the android games these days. Today, we will talk about World/Maps, Matches, Medals, Tanks, etc. So, without further ado, let's get started.
In the Tank Hero, you will have three options that you can access through your main screen. Those options will let you play matches, or adjust settings, or check your stats (Rank, Score, Kills, and Playtime). Let's talk about different World/Maps in Tank Hero.
There are three maps in Tank Hero, and each map has about 40 levels and three modes within it. Three modes include Campaign, Survival, and Time Trial. Each World/Map has these three modes. To open a new World/Map, you will have to clear at least 14 levels.
Each World/Map has its own style and uniqueness. Some have tanks with bullets, some have high-speed tanks, and some have tanks with grenades. So, make sure to understand the level first and then play accordingly. However, before you face a new type of tank at a level, you will be given a chance to understand them. For example, on one level, you will be alone with the new tank so you can focus and fight accordingly.
After every match, you will be able to see your Level Score, Accuracy Rating, Health Rating, Kill Rating, Total of everything, and Medal. Now the most important thing in Tank Hero is winning. It doesn't matter how much accuracy you had, you much health you survived with, and what's your total.
All you need to do is achieve kill rating and level score to clear a level. You have to kill every other tank in the level to proceed to the next level. You will be given three lives, or let's say your health is divided into three parts, and every time you get shot, you lose one life/chance or part of your health. You will lose the match if you couldn't destroy every other tank on a level.
At the end of each level in Tank Hero, you will get a medal depending on your performance. Medals are distributed into three types:
⦁ Bronze
⦁ Silver
⦁ Gold
As mentioned above, the Medal doesn't depend on Level Score and Accuracy. It depends on your health rating and Accuracy Rating. But most of the time, your accuracy will be fine, so you will need to stay focused and save yourself from getting hit.
For example, if you clear a level with one life, you will get Bronze Medal, if you came out alive with two lives, you would get Silver Medal, and if you clear a level with all three lives/chances, you will get Gold Medal. You will have to clear at least 15 levels to unlock the next World/Map. You will also have to get at least 16 Gold Medals. The higher number of Gold Medals you have, the better your game is in Tank Hero.
You have only one tank, so don't worry about any gacha system. This tank is all you have no skins, and no type of modification is required in Tank Hero. Just focus on your gameplay and winning. Your tank will automatically get up-gradation as you progress further in the game.
For example, in the first Wolrd/Map, your tan will only fire bullets until level 15, and from level 16, your tank will start throwing grenades. So, don't worry about anything except how to destroy all other tanks faster.
In the beginning, the game might seem like a child game, but as you progress further, you will the real difficulty. For example, at level 23, you will be behind a wall, and you will have narrow spaces to shot other tanks with bullets. Or on other levels, you will have to kill the grenade shooter tank by going through a maze.
As mentioned, each World/Map has about 40 levels; complete them all and then move to the next World/Map. It's better that way because each map has its own type of tanks, and you don't want to overwhelm yourself at the beginning. Make progress and then move to the next world.
There are three modes within each World/Map, and each mode has about 40 levels. The modes are as following:
⦁ Campaign
⦁ Survival
⦁ Time Travel
The campaign is your normal level, which matters the most if you want to unlock other Worlds/Maps. The campaign has a total of 40 levels, which you need to clear to progress in the game. At level 14 in Campaign Mode, you will be able to unlock the next World/Map, and after that, you will see different tank types, up-gradation of your tank, etc. Your job is to survive and destroy other tanks before they destroy you.
You will be able to achieve credits by destroying tanks in each wave in survival mode. You will face other tanks in each Survival mode wave, but you will only have three lives/chances per wave. After every wave, your chances will reset to three again.
At first wave, you will face one tank, at second two/three tanks, at third three/five tanks, and so on. You can use in-game credits to buy other weapons like Spread Cannon, Heatseeker, and Howitzer. You don't need to buy stock cannon as it's your basic weapon in Tank Hero survival mode.
Each weapon in Tank Hero has its unique damage and firing style. You can also change weapons during fights but only in Survival mode. The ammo is unlimited in Stock Cannon, but in Spread Cannon, Heat Seeker, and Howitzer, you will need to buy ammo, which costs ammo. So, it's better to use stock cannon in early waves, and as the number of tanks increases, switch to other weapons according to your judgment.
Survival mode depends on Campaign Mode. In Survival mode, you can only play the level you have cleared in Campaign Mode. If you have cleared ten levels in Campaign Mode and want to play level 11 in Survival Mode, you can't because you will only be able to play till level 10 in Survival Mode. However, when you clear level 11 in Campaign Mode, then you will be able to play level 11 in Survival Mode.
You will also get Medals after every wave in Survival Mode. Wave numbers are unlimited but do not worry; the fights are so intense that you will always die in survival mode. The best part is you can come back and resume your game where you left.
Time Trial is the test of your ability and if you want to play a friendly match with your friends or family members. Every time someone plays a level and destroy tanks, a stopwatch will record the time. The total amount of time you spent while destroying tank/tanks. Compare it with your friends and family members and enjoy this intense, funny, and thrilling mode.
Time Trial also has 40 levels, and it also depends on Campaign mode. Details about depending on Campaign mode is mentioned in Survival mode.
The game is so much fun; at first look, it might seem like a waste of time or a child game, but when you will start this game, you will forget the time and everything around you. The game becomes more intense as you dive deeper into the levels and other Worlds/Maps.
Compare everything with survival mode, and you will have more intense gameplay sessions. Time Trial is one of the funniest yet amazing modes. Play with anyone you like, either it's for a bet or just for fun. Read the above-given guide carefully and play accordingly.
