Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad brings many of our beloved characters from Ubisoft franchises. You may recognize many characters from the start if you have played any of Ubisoft’s Tom Clancy’s Games.
Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad is a free turn-based, military RPG game available on iOS and Android platforms. It’s a real deal for the gamers who love to assemble a striker team across multiple Tom Clancy's Universe – including Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six Siege, and The Division – and guess what!
Due to a huge amount of characters, you might wonder which one to pick. Which soldiers are the most powerful? Do they fit your general playstyle or not? To answer these, we made a list of Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad's best soldiers that can help you dominate the game.
Tachanka is a pretty well-known operator in the Rainbow Six Siege universe. His iconic look, beefy stature, and love for mounted machine guns speak volumes as to why.
Tachanka is the best specialist to cripple enemies with status effects. While being resilient to much punishment, he can still keep allies safe by depuffing enemies and dealing with AOE damage.
Sentry (Active): He can deploy a sentry gun that targets enemies with the most health with 20 armor-piercing rounds.
Barbed Wire (Passive): His barbed wire passive can apply -10% ability damage to a selected enemy up to five times.
Compound leader (Trait): It can increase his health by 5% if a composed type soldier is in the team.
Obvious Target (Leader): It deals 30% damage to controlled targets, Shotgun, or Enduring soldiers.
Part of Team Rainbow, her perspective and survivalist skills make her a fierce soldier. She is the best specialist technician in the game.
Her ability to stun even put twitch’s drone to shame. Instead of targeting one enemy like twitch, Nomad’s Airjab can do an AOE stun that can cancel attacks as well.
Airjab Launcher (Active): She can fire an Airjab at an enemy's location that detonates after 2.5 seconds. Upon detonation, it will stun enemies canceling their attacks and damage them for 25% ability power.
Unmatched Endurance (Passive): When the battle wave finishes, it gives 60% ability charges to all teammates.
Intimidating Skills (Trait): Skill damage is increased by 5% if an intimidating ally is in the team.
Another entry in this list from the Rainbow Six universe, Doc, is the best healer specialist in Elite Squad that can revive downed allies.
Compared to Winston Banks, Doc can heal allies immediately, proving to be useful in critical situations. He can also revive fallen teammates at 40% health, which is just unparalleled.
Stim Pistol (Active): Like his primary ability in Rainbow Six Siege, Doc can target and heal the allies. His heal targets teammates' lowest health pool with 150% ability power. It targets at the range too.
Never Over (Passive): Doc has this once per battle ability to revive any downed teammate back in action with 40% health.
Resourceful Defense (Trait): It grants +5% health when he is teamed with a Resourceful ally.
Our memorable tattooed villain from Ghost Recon Wildlands, El Sueno, is the leader of all guardians and the best defender in the game with high armor and descent resistance rating. His taunt ability that can heal allies to full health can shift the tide of battle instantly. There is no solider with taunt even close to matching El Sueno’s.
Fearless Leader (Active): A really powerful ability in the game; it heals 100% health for each enemy taunted, which some might consider is OP.
True Believer (Passive): It can reduce the incoming area damage by -90%, and he can regenerate health 0.5% per enemy targeting him.
Dutiful Skills (Trait): Electronics are increased by 5% when a Dutiful ally is part of the team.
Bravado (Leader): Allows a 15% health boost to all Santa Blanca Cartel soldiers in the team.
Sam is one of the most badass and beloved characters from any of Tom Clancy’s franchise. He is the main protagonist of Splinter Cell games and a master of stealth and infiltration.
Sam is the best striker in the game due to his great weapon damage. He is also efficient in finishing off targets on low health. His abilities make him dangerous against tank enemies as well as compared to Ash and Caveira.
Mark and Execute (Active): Sam can mark enemy with the lowest health. He fires a targeted shot that can kill an enemy with lower than 35% health or damages them by 90% AP. He can fire shots four times consecutively.
Silent Killer (Passive): If Sam is pushed to the limit and his health drops down to 30%, he will enter stealth for 8 seconds.
Resourceful Skills (Trait): Electronics are increased by 5% when a Resourceful ally is on the team.
Counter-Intelligence (Leader): Buffs LMGs and Assault Rifles by 10% bonus weapon damage.
The characters mentioned above are some of the top high-rated characters in Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad.
Upgrade one character at a time. Do not upgrade multiple characters at a time; otherwise, you will end up with multiple low-level characters, and you might now what will happen in a high-level fight. So, focus on upgrading one character at a time, max it out, and then repeat the process till you have made your full team.
There are 31 villains and 46 hero soldiers, adding up to a whopping 77 playable characters in total. If you are just started playing Tom Clancy Elite Squad, then it can be a bit overwhelming. This list can hopefully give you an idea of the best characters and help you get started quickly.
However, the main factor in your progression is your play style. Some people go healer, some tank, and some straight DPS. Playing with the soldier that suits your playstyle is the key to having an amazing experience in Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad. Have Fun!
