Let’s play Epic Seven on PC and find out together!
Unlike other balance patches, only 1 Moon Light Hero and several other Normal Heroes have obtained some changes to their kit, making their roles in the game for both PvE and PvP contents much more prevalent and important. However, aside from heroes, several artifacts effects have also been changed in order to make their power more suitable for more heroes to use.
Ambitious Tywin is a 5* Light Knight Hero that has been notorious for his ability to cleanse the entire team’s debuffs when he is attacked, allowing the team to have more survivability and help to prevent the team’s defeat against certain teams in PvP. With the new buffs to his kit, he now has the ability to help the entire team’s damage capability and damage output by inflicting debuffs on the entire enemy teams and allow other allies to deal more damage to them.
Ambitious Tywin’s buff includes several changes to his 2nd skill passive and his ultimate 3rd skill. With the 2nd skill passive buff, Tywin will now gain the Enraged status when he is attacked by the enemy’s attack, increasing his attack and speed stats by 1 turn. While in this state, his 1st and 3rd skills will attain special effects that will help Tywin with his own mechanics and help inflicting special debuffs on the enemies with his 3rd skill.
When Enraged, Tywin’s abilities will gain the ignore effect resistance status, allowing him to land his debuffs always if his debuffs passed his own RNG roll for success chance. This applies to Tywin’s 1st skill to remove enemies’ buffs when they are attacked. For the 3rd skill, Tywin now gains the effect of inflicting defense reduction for 2 turns to all enemies in addition to stunning the enemies, which will ignore all enemies’ resistance when Tywin is enraged, helping to let the entire team a free turn and amplify the team’s damage.
Melissa is a 5* Fire Mage Hero that is supposed to specialize in dealing extra damage to 1 enemy by simply dealing damage to the entire enemy team , however, due to her low damage potential and weak debuffs, Melissa has always been reduced to obscurity and left to slowly fade away in your waiting room. Does this buff to her help her kit abilities? Not really, but it helps.
Melissa’s kit is buffed by having her 2nd skill deal more damage based on the amount of HP she has lost which will help her to deal more damage with her S2 and combo well with her 3rd skill and entire kit to deal damage to the enemy’s main damage dealer. However, it doesn’t fix her problem of her buffs being easily removable by most of the meta teams currently in use by the PvP players. In addition, while this helps her damage output, it doesn’t allow her to deal consistent damage unless she is hit by an enemy, who might be able to 2 shot her and her buffs based on certain characters’ kits.
Melissa’s 3rd skill also experienced a slight change in effect, allowing the shared damage suffered by the targeted enemy to be the damage dealt to all of their teammates instead of only by single attacks. This essentially made it so that, if the entire enemy team is inflicted with AOE attacks, the 1 targeted enemy will receive 3 times the damage.
Kise is a 5* Ice Thief Hero that deals massive amounts of damage to all enemies by simply ignoring 70% of their defenses and deals even more damage if the enemy is buffed by Barriers. And her buff simply buffs her damage output by increasing the damage modifiers of her 2nd skill and 3rd skills’ damage.
Fairytale Tenebria is a 5* Limited Ice Mage Hero that specializes in inflicting up to 5 different debuffs to enemies when they are taunted and attack the ally with the highest HP in your team, allowing her to disrupt the entire enemy team’s battle rhythm and let other allies pick them off one by one. With her new buffs, she will do her role even faster and more effectively.
Fairytale Tenebria’s main buff lies in the debuffs she inflicts on the enemies using her 1st skill and 2nd passive. Tenebria’s 1st skill previously have a 40% chance to inflicts 2 separate Poison debuffs on the enemy when she hit them, however, this debuff is now replaced by a Redirect Provoke debuff on them instead, helping her to more easily inflict them with Provoke in order to have them trigger her 2nd skill more frequently and easily.
Fairytale Tenebria’s 2nd passive inflicts several different debuffs on the enemies, with a new debuff being added with her buff being decreased speed, making the enemy take their turn slower and allow the team to quickly defeat the enemy team.
The final 5* hero to have a balance change is Mui, the 5* Earth Warrior that specializes in stunning enemies and allowing the team to go first in combat. Mui’s buffs improves her ability to quickly gain back her turns and inflicts more debuffs on the enemy, making them easier to be killed by other allies.
Mui’s 1st change comes in the form of her imprint concentration from increasing her dual attack chance to improving her effectiveness, which helps her immensely.
Mui’s other significant buff comes from her 3rd skill, which now increases her own combat readiness by 25% for each critical hit made to the enemy’s team, potentially allowing her to gain 100% combat readiness if she manages to make a critical hit against all 4 enemies. This buff helps her become more consistent with her skills and debuffs, helping her to make herself more useful as a debuffer and damage enabler when in PvP contents.
Along with the brand new hero balance patch, a brand new Limited Hero have been introduced for players to roll for - the 5* Ice Soul Weaver Amid.
Amid is a 5* Ice Soul Weaver has the ability to buff the entire team’s damage potential by granting them increase combat readiness and buffing an ally with the ability to essentially loop their turns with her 3rd skill.
Amid’s 2nd skill grants the entire team a 1 hit damage nullification and 25% combat readiness increase, allowing the entire team to move faster. Her 3rd skill grants 1 ally increase attack and a Swift Attack status which increase their combat readiness by a whopping 50% after they have used their skill, allowing them to essentially loop their turn and deal more damage.
Absolutely. Not only is Amid a Limited Hero that is a long time coming, her kit is absolutely game breaking despite its simplicity, allowing her to be a powerful buffer in both PvE and PvP contents.
