Let’s play Fate/Grand Order on PC and find out together.
GSSR (short for Guaranteed SSR) is a special type of banner that only appears twice a year in Fate/Grand Order - one during the New Year Celebration Campaign and the other during the Anniversary Celebration Campaign. As the name implies, when you roll on this banner, you will be granted 11 summons, one of which GUARANTEES 1 SSR LIMITED SERVANT from a selection of the servants available in the summoning pool.
In order to roll on this special banner, you need to spend 15 PAID SAINT QUARTZ, meaning you will have to spend around 15$ in order to roll on this banner. However, the pay off is absolutely worth it in the long run as you get 1 SSR Servant with only 15$, while many have to spend over 1000$ just to get no SSR Servants.
For the 6th anniversary, the GSSR banner of Fate/Grand Order will be divided into 12 different banners, with different set of servants being available based on 2 different criterias unique only to this year’s GSSR banners:
- The release date of different sets of servants: the limited servants pool will be divided into 6 different sets of banners based on which year the servants were released, from FGO first year all the way to the current 6th year.
- The classes of the servants: the second criteria to determined the banners are the classes of different servants, with each year’s set of banners being split between the The Three Knights (Sabers + Archers + Lancers) and The Four Horsemen + Extra (Riders + Casters + Assassins + Berzerkers + Extra Classes).
The first year GSSR Banners consist of 2 banners: The Three Knights and The Four Horsemen + Extra, including limited servants that were released during the first year of the game:

The GSSR Banners are divided into 12 different banners with different servants being rated up separately on each banner. However, you can only choose 1 of the 12 Banners to roll on, therefore, some considerations need to be taken into account for you to pick the best banner to spend your 15 Paid Saint Quartz on.
The first consideration is regarding your feelings for a banner, in other words, if that banner contains your absolute Husbandos/Waifus or Servants that you absolutely love. If it does then you should go for that banner.
The second consideration is of necessity, especially for the meta defying characters.
The final consideration is regarding the amount of servants you don’t have on the banner. As these servants are all Limited Time Available Servants, choosing a banner that features a lot of the servants that you didn’t have yet is a great advantage. The smaller the pool, the more likely you will get a new servant to play with.
If you are a more gameplay oriented player and want to go with the meta, the 6th year Four Horsemen + Extra Banner will be the best pick for you as it rates up some of the best Meta characters currently in FGO.
This banner includes some of the most powerful servants, including both Artoria Caster and Morgan, two of the best servants in the game’s meta for the upcoming 2 years.
Caster Artoria is the be all and end all support in the game with her ability to not only provide extremely powerful supports to Arts-oriented servants but also to help the entire team survive difficult fights with her powerful defensive abilities.
Morgan is one of the best DPS characters for farming in the game with her powerful noble phantasm and versatile kit that not only boost her own combat abilities but also provide support to surrounding allies.
This banner is the best possible banner with the best rate with 3 out of the 5 servants rated up being extremely powerful and useful in the game for the long run. Therefore, for gameplay, this GSSR banner is the best banner for players to roll on.
