Let’s play Fate/Grand Order on PC and find out together.
Akihabara Explosion is a special event that is of a special format that most players of Fate/Grand Order haven’t experienced for a long time, especially if the players are new players. The special mechanics of Akihabara Explosion is that it is a Tower Climb event that contains a total of 200 floors that players will need to climb and they will need to use different teams of servants in each battle in order to obtain all of the rewards from the tower.
As mentioned, the Akihabara Explosion is a special event that consists of pure battles with little story nodes in between, with 200 floors containing a total of 200 battles in total that players of the game would need to fight through in order to obtain all of the tower’s rewards.
Each floor of the tower grants the players who clear them a special reward each for the first clear, these rewards ranges from character upgrading materials, EXP cards and other useful currencies that will prove useful to the players.
With every 5 floors cleared, players will face a special story specific fight that requires special preparations and investment in order to clear and advance, so players should save their servants until these fights.
The first 100 floors of the total is the main story of the event and is mandatory to clear if players want to obtain the best reward of the event - the holy grail. The final 100 floors are the bonus floors that give players extra rewards.
During the event’s period, when players clear each floor of the event, players won’t be able to borrow servants from other players in order to aid them in their tower climbing endeavor, meaning players will have all 6 slots of the party opened to use their own servants.
However, the main catch of this type of event is that, once used, the servants previously in battle will enter a special cooldown rest mode in order to rest and respawn after a period of 8 hours. This means that for each floor players cleared, the servants that were used to clear that floor won’t be available for use for the next 8 hours. Therefore, players should manage their servants' roster as best as they can in order to be able to clear the harder floors the further they go.
A special restoration zone will be available during the event period for players to put their servants into, up to 5 servants in total. These servants will have their cooldown cut down to only 2 hours in the best case, making it easier for players to get back their strong servants in order to beat the higher difficulty floors the higher they go.
During the event period, special Event Craft Essence will be available to obtain by clearing specific floors in the tower. These Craft Essence help to increase servants’ bond points gain during the event period, making them extremely helpful for players who want to farm bonds for their favorite servants during the event’s period.
With each floor cleared making servants go into cooldown, the best thing to do when climbing the tower is to make a party of 3 servants for each floor. As the game only requires 3 servants in a party in order to enter a stage, this helps minimize the servants that players will use and will enter a cooldown state after each floor from 6 down to 3, allowing players to save more servants for higher floors and help to clear the tower faster.
Each floor of the Akibahara Explosion tower has a clear indication of the enemy’s class and types, making it easier for players to form a good party in order to go up against the enemies within the floor. It is highly recommended that players use low rarity servants in order to deal with lower floors with less difficulties and save the high rarity servants for higher floors since they are more difficult and require more resources to achieve victory. Also using servants of the advantaged classes are highly recommended.
Recovery zones are the best things to help recover your servants faster and help you to recycle your more powerful servants as soon as possible, therefore utilizing the recovery zones is absolutely essential in order to clear the tower more effectively. It is highly recommended that players put their support servants in these recovery zones as soon as they are in cooldown as the support servants will be able to buff the damage potential of any servants that go together with them.
With the special Akihabara Explosion Event on full swing, a special event Special Rate Up Banner is available for players to attempt to roll for the brand new 5* servant - the 5* Berserker Galatea.
Galatea is a 5* Berserker servant with a special kit that specializes in dealing both Buster and Arts critical damage with her face cards in addition to her Arts Single target Noble Phantasm.
Galatea’s main strong point is her skill kit which focuses on dealing both Buster and Arts damage to a single enemy using her critical damage with face cards. Her kit revolves around buffing herself with both Buster and Arts Performance buffs in order to utilize her special 3 Buster and 1 Arts Card Deck in order to deal massive amounts of damage to 1 enemy.
Galatea’s Noble Phantasm allows her to deal a large amounts of damage to 1 enemy, after buffing herself with a 3 turns NP damage buff and inflict NP gauge down to the enemy after her NP.
No, you should not. Not only is Galatea’s kit extremely limiting and difficult to use in general, she is also a non-limited 5* servant, meaning you can get her in the future in limited banners anyway as a spook, therefore, rolling for her in her own banner is not recommended unless you really like her as a servant.
