So if you are ready, let's play God Sacrifice on PC with LDPlayer and dive in and start making your mark in the game.
The gameplay of God Sacrifice features an idle system where, as a player, your only job is to acquire heroes, level them up, create gear, and make a powerful main character. Heroes and main characters have different ways of strengthening. Your main character can be strengthened through equipping better gear created through the altar.
To create gear in God Sacrifice, you need basic resources. These can be earned by completing adventure mode stages, missions, and participating in dungeons, guild tasks. Once you have the materials, a simple click on the altar will automatically create new equipment.
In God Sacrifice equipment you get can't be chosen by you; it is decided by the game. However, what you can control is what gear you equip and what role your character will play in a team setting. You have two paths: either you can build a tank type or a melee DPS character. This is done through gear selection.
So, by now you know that you can create equipment through the altar. When you create new equipment, it will appear on the left side of the screen, and the one you are currently equipped with on your hero will be shown on the right side of the screen. If you have no equipment in that slot, a single equip option will appear.
When selecting equipment in God Sacrifice, you should know that the gear quality is increased by its level, its rarity (identified by its color), and the stat values it provides. Always equip the highest level item and choose the high rarity gear. Higher rarity gear have extra stats like block rate, speed, crit, depending on the slot it's equipped in.
In God Sacrifice the gear rarity starts from white and spans into deeper colors as they increase in rarity in this order: white, green, blue, purple, gold, orange, and so on. But when you create two pieces of equipment that have the same rarity and level, the next deciding factor is the stats these gears provide. The basic stats every piece of equipment has are HP, ATK, DEF, SPD.
HP determines how much health the character gains by equipping that gear.
Attack determines the character's damage output.
Defense determines how much damage your character actually receives from the attacks they take.
Speed determines how early or late your character gets to perform their attacks and skills.
The best stats are defense and attack because, with attack, you can deal damage and end the battle early, stopping further damage. Defense acts as a block to every attack they receive, increasing overall survivability. HP is a one-time thing; you take damage, you lose the value, and it can't protect the character anymore.
When it comes to speed, in God Sacrifice its importance depends on the character role or class. If you could make healer with your main character, it is always better to go with low speed. This way, they can use their skill to actually heal other players who have taken damage in the early phase of the battle. But you can only make tanks, DPS or support characters that can stun or lower the efficacy of enemies.
These types of rolls must go first so they can taunt enemies and place those debuffs to get their benefit from early on. In addition to these, as we said earlier, high rarity gear has additional stats, which should also be understood properly to choose the best gear.
For example, BB represents block value; this only affects physical damage, so it is mostly useless against spell-using enemies. The ER special stat also increases your character's health but it also increases their toughness, reducing overall damage they take.
Crit increases your character's chances of executing a critical attack; if your character has high crit, they will more often deal critical hits and increase their overall damage output. Choosing these stats for tank-type characters is considered unnecessary because even if their attack is a crit, the amount of damage it increases is relatively low because they have low attack power to begin with. However, it would be great if you are making a DPS type character. So, make sure to choose the right gear for the style you are going to play as.
In addition to manual clicking, as you progress in the God Sacrifice campaign, you will unlock the auto gear build option. Although this saves time and alleviates the worry of deciding what to equip, the auto-equip system is designed to choose gear that gives the highest value to any stat rather than the stat you desire.
This could result in building a character that does not excel in one area and has mixed-up gear. Furthermore, stats like HP and speed will be prioritized over defense, potentially resulting in a character with relatively low survivability. Therefore, it's advisable to save your resources and manually create gear to achieve a better build.
The God Sacrifice offers many game modes and functions, which you unlock by progressing in the campaign. By the time you reach the 4th chapter of the campaign, you will be able to unlock most functions. One of the important functions that unlock is heroes. Heroes can be used as support in battles. Although only one hero will be available for use in chapter four, as you progress, you will be able to unlock additional hero slots.
Although heroes will make your God Sacrifice gameplay much more enjoyable, the function to use them unlocks after the 4th chapter of the campaign. Once you reach this point, head to the shop, and the first tab is where you can unlock new heroes. Here, on your first day of unlocking this mode, you get 10 free summons, and after that, each day you get one free summon. If you need more, you will need to have diamonds. Diamonds can be acquired through hero detail pages for free, you can also collect some from the package section of the shop.
Completing certain percentages of the main campaign will also award some, and dungeons, arenas, and guilds are all places you can earn gems needed for summoning. However, you can only perform the advanced summon with gems. If you want mystic summons, you must use scrolls. These scrolls will be awarded as various event rewards, mission rewards, and world boss completion rewards. Mystic summons only give hero fragments, though, so you need to do more summons to acquire heroes through this method, requiring patience.
As we mentioned earlier, your main character and your heroes have different ways of strengthening. Heroes do not need any gear; they only need to be leveled up. When you do this, you will increase their base stats. Another way to strengthen your heroes is through ascending them. To ascend, you need to acquire a copy of the hero and sacrifice it through the ascend option. Doing so will unlock additional skills for that hero, making them more useful in combat.
Although you will have a relatively low number of heroes initially, as you progress, your hero roster will fill up. When that happens, you need to know how to choose the best heroes for easy progress. The first thing you should look at is hero rarity. Heroes with a purple background are advanced summon heroes and they are relatively less powerful than the mystic heroes, who have orange background portraits.
When selecting heroes, always try to add mystic heroes first and fill in the rest of the formation with what they cannot fill in. All heroes fall into one category depending on the skills and attacks they use. Heroes with the ability to heal their allies are important because they can keep your team up when facing high-level enemies. Heroes with skills that can deal damage to multiple enemies are considered AOE (Area of Effect) damage dealers.
Their AOE attack does relatively lower single-target damage, but their usefulness improves when there are many enemies, so choose these types of heroes mostly when facing groups. Next are heroes that can stun and place bleed-like damage over time effects on enemies; they are very useful when you do not have a healer in your group. Some of these support-type heroes can also increase the effectiveness of your other heroes by providing buffs. Adding one of these heroes is strategically wise, regardless of whether you're facing a team of enemies or a boss.
If you want to get your hands on some freebies, the best thing you can use is God Sacrifice codes. These codes are given out by the developers to help players and celebrate events. They can be entered in-game to get gems, scrolls, and other rare resources. You should actively track these codes and use them, especially if you do not intend on spending real-world currency to buy things in the game.
Once you unlock the guild tab, you should join one immediately. When choosing one, try to apply for those that have a high member count. These guild members will be active and will participate in guild boss encounters and events more often, allowing you to grab rewards even if you have lower power than the rest.
In boss battles of God Sacrifice, the reward does not depend on how much damage you do to the boss, but rather on how much your guild does as a group, so higher numbers also give a better chance to get the full rewards. Another thing you can do in a guild is donate to the guild's progress. The rewards you get from donating also depend on the guild level, so before donating, give it at least one day and see if the guild is active. If not, leave it and find an active one that can help you progress.
Other than participating in events, guild events, and adventure modes, if you want to earn a specific type of resource, the best place to earn them is dungeons. Dungeons have separate sections to earn sacred stones, elixirs, and stardust. You can only do them a certain number of times each day, and they reset every day. Make sure you do these dungeons even if you have no time to play other modes, as it will also allow you to collect the daily login rewards that also give out big rewards at the end of the collection days.
And there you have it! With these tips and tricks, you're now fully equipped to start your legendary journey in God Sacrifice. Remember, the key to success lies in smart equipment management, choosing the right heroes, and making the most of your resources.
