Superprism has just globally released Kingsense for all Android devices and Emulators. The game has you embark on a grand, futuristic adventure with your Sensates! You will have to build mighty squads, engage in event and game modes, and let you a story like no other. With combat occurring in a 5x9 grid with an all-star cast, we’re going to be providing you with our first impressions of the game alongside gameplay details. If you have not already, you can download Kingsense for free on LDPlayer.
Kingsense in its entirety is a strategy-based, grid-based, turn-based combat game. When it's your turn, you take actions, and when you end your turn, the opponent does counter actions too. You have different character types that have different tasks. These are also known as classes in the game. However, the game has tons of interesting mechanics like weather, special abilities, elements, resistances/weaknesses, and more.
Stages in the game also have different clear modes like “Survive,” “Get to the tile,” or you might need to complete the round in a certain amount of turns. Perhaps the most important mechanic of the game is that you will be able to access 3 distinct skill card points in each of your turns. You will also be able to use a variety of skill set cards as well. Skill cards are extremely powerful, but each has a particular cost which you will keep into account.
However, one aspect of the game that is quite annoying is the fact that your characters level up on their own once you win a stage. This means that the deep, intriguing strategy that you might experience only lasts for a few stages, where the game then turns into a war of levels.
However, you can level down characters and reduce them back to level 1’s and get some XP chips. However, the gameplay is still quite good, and you can use free units / low-rarity units without the need of grinding to enjoy the game at a reasonable. But, if you just want to steam-roll throughout the game, you definitely can do so.
Each character in the game has an attack and a movement range. The attack range signifies the number of squares they can move in a turn and the attack range is the number of squares adjacent to them in which they can attack. In most cases, attack squares are confined to 4 squares and movement rage is usually a vertical or a horizontal line.
Characters have two actives and an ultimate. Some require a charge time (character remains idle for x amount of turns,) while some can be casted instantly. As there are multiple roles, each character has different types of skills with each serving a unique purpose.
The skills which each character has are the primary way for them to be classified in a tier list. The better the skills, the better their placement in a tier list. Here’s a list of some of the characters in the game:
Since the game has been newly released, the names of other characters are yet to be translated. We’ll be updating this list with the complete draft soon.
The game is quite generous with its currency, especially at startup. We’re going to be covering gift codes that you can use throughout the game to get even more currency. You can do about 40-50 pulls at the start of the game and get MR characters with ease. After you get all the launch rewards, you can get another free 10x pull and much more. This means that while the game will reward you for being a paying player, you can still expect a reasonable experience even if you aren’t.
You can farm premium currency used for Gacha rolls, stamina refills, and store packs by doing daily and weekly quests while also clearing rewards on stages. The amount of premium currency you can get for absolutely free is quite high, which is a very good thing.
You can also farm rolls and pulls directly in challenges that will be reset every 2 weeks.
In our opinion, the game requires moderate maintenance. While you will need to log in more than other games, the efficient auto system will let you do most tasks faster than usual. In most cases, weeklies will want you to consume about 1000 stamina, while dailies will take 240 each. The rest of the quests you will be doing will generally take the same amount of those numbers.
You might have to log in every 4 hours to get some small rewards. If you are a player who wants to max out and be as efficient as possible, you will have to be logging in almost every hour.
Kingsense has tons of quality of life features that make the game worth playing. It's quite easy to repeat stages even at auto and 3x max speed battles. You can even skip tickets in some cases. Once you do end up beating a stage, you can make the stage much easier to beat, which lets you farm up your weaker characters if you want to.
You can also claim all your rewards and can receive them from your friends at the same time too. While it does look like the developers want you to spend a lot of time grinding the game, many qualities of life features are added to ensure it does not get annoying.
The game also has quite an engaging story with voiceovers from different notable artists that make the game much more immersive. The music and art style used in the game is quite iconic, with most battles and base management visuals following a Chibi style.
LDPlayer is arguably the best Android Emulator out there. It is known for its Day 1 support on most games, including Kingsense. The emulator lets you play the game at an extremely high FPS while also letting you use its dedicated unique features that should help you in your daily grind.
For example, you can change your key mappings according to what you feel is the best and adjust them to a mouse and keyboard. Moreover, since rerolling is an integral part of the game, you can always use the multi-instance feature, which lets you make multiple accounts at the same time for one game and use the synchronizer function to make rerolling much more seamless and easier.
Kingsense is a wonderful game for those who are fans of the strategy genre. If you aren’t, however, this is a wonderful stepping stone for you to come in and enjoy the game as a beginner. Since there are tons of quality of life features that make jumping onto the game easier, it is a must-play for anyone who’s a fan of gaming and wants to tackle a completely new experience.
