After nearly 4 years of development, a new Turn Based Dark Theme RPG is released globally, Limbus Company! You start the game as a headless character with a giant clock as head, with lost memory and just a group of strange and dangerous acting people who’s telling you are their new team leader. The moment you realize this, Faust, a white hair girl, teaches you how to bound your “time” with the entire group. Once you release your powers, Faust tells you the entire group lives are now bound to you, and your name is now Dante. From this moment, you will be the leader of this team of “Sinners”, and you can command them in battle. A group of enemies appear from nowhere, same with a “Limbus” Bus. Faust explains that this Bus can move your squad everywhere at your will. After losing your initial battle, the “Man with Red Eyes” will appear, saving you and teaching you how to “Rewind” your time! This is the start of your journey in Limbus Company! 

What is Limbus Company?

Limbus Company is a new Dark Theme Turn Based RPG. In this game you will play the role of the “Savior” called Dante, commanding Characters called “Sinners”. You can form a squad of 4 to 5 Sinners out of 12, each one fighting with different “Attack Type” (Slash, Pierce and Blunt) and “Sin Affinity” (Wrath, Lust, Sloth, Gluttony, Gloom, Pride and Envy). Combining different Attack and Sin Affinity you will create a unique team to fight battles in the game. The game offers different game modes, such as Main Story, Mirror Dungeons, Daily and Weekly Quest and Season Pass content. If you like Dark Themed Gachas With also Roguelike Element, Deep Strategy Team Building and unique storyline, Limbus Company is the game you are waiting for!

Game Content & Combat Guide

Main Story

The “Main Story” in Limbus Company lets you discover the very Dark Themed Story of this new game. In Main Story content you will also learn how to efficiently use your Characters, their story and also earn Lunacy (summon currency) and Characters Exp (not only the characters who are engaged in combat, but the entire selected squad of 12 members will be rewarded with Exp). If you complete a Main Story Stage respecting the special condition (Ex: Clear within 10 turns) you will receive EX Point, rewarding you with more Lunacy. Completing Ex Condition also unlock Semi Auto Battle in Main story stages (You can tap “Win Rate” or “Damage” to fast choosing abilities automatically). Main Story Content cost Enkephalin (Stamina).

Dungeons / Mirror Dungeons

The “Dungeons” in Limbus Story are “Random Generated” dungeons where your goal is to reach the last floor and suppress the anomaly. In Dungeons there’s different kind of encounter and stages:

Dungeon Stages

• Regular Encounter = Similar to Main Story stages, normal fights with Chain combat.

• Risky Encounter = Similar to Main Story Stages but with higher difficulty enemies. Usually gives you good rewards.

• Event = randomly created event that can provide good or bad buffs to your group.

• Checkpoint = This stage lets you rest your entire team, save your progress and also revive fallen characters.

• Abnormality Encounter = High Difficulty stages where you have to fight multiple part enemies.

• Boss Encounter = Boss fight usually at every end for each floor.

Once you reach the end of the Dungeon, you will collect all the rewards. Dungeons provide high exp and also different kinds of resources, such as Shards, Thread and Battle Pass Experience Point. Entering a dungeon consume Enkephalin Modules (Stamina)

Combat Guide

In Limbus Company, being able to choose the best team and best skill set is the key for success. Let's check all the battle sections and see how to make a proper team.

Battle

1. Here you have different Settings for the game, such as Game Language, Auto Cointoss, Skill tooltip, Graphic settings and Audio Settings

2. Press this Arrow icons to display the characters that will be engaged in next turn

3. All Collected E.G.O Energy 

4. Your team Skill selection, Skill Defense and E.G.O

5. Indicate the Wave, Turn and Passive skill actually in the battle

Normal Battle

• In normal Battles, you will be able to create a “Chain” with all the provided skills each turn. Forming a chain of 2 or more for the same skill (Matching Colors) provides greater damage. The more Skill for the same Sin you chain, the greater the damage

Abnormality/Boss Battle

• Different from Normal Battle, when you fight Abnormality or Bosses you will have to choose each character skill individually and select the target. Leaving Abnormality or Bosses part with no direct counter will cause your team great damage, so always try to fight each enemy part.

Team Sin Affinity

• When you choose your team, always try to have a different variety of Skill Damage type (Slash, Pierce and Blunt) and matching Sin Affinity (Ex: Choose Characters that have the same Ability Colors so they will be able to chain and deal great damage)

Defense/Counter/Dodge Skill

• You can click on a Character Portrait on the lower part of the screen to activate special Skill called Defence, Counter and Dodge. Those skills help your team survive if a great damage attack is being unleashed. Use those skill strategically to improve your team survivability

E.G.O Skills

• E.G.O Skills provide great power to any character who uses it. Once you have collected enough E.G.O energy fragments (Right Side of the Scree) you can use E.G.O skill. Remember that E.G.O Skill can lower your Characters Sanity.

E.G.O & Identities

In Limbus Company, Each Sinner has a different rarity (Identities) and also exclusive Skills called E.G.O. Both Identities and E.G.O can be obtained via Banners, and both of them can also be powered up in different ways.

Level Up

• Sinners level can be increased by participating in combat (being in squad is enough) and also with “Identity Training Tickets”. 

Tier Up

• Sinners Tier Level can be increased with “Thread”, obtained in the game and also exchanged for Gacha Dupes.

Active/Passive Skills

• Sinners have 3 Active Abilities (with different colors) and also passive abilities you will unlock by upgrading their level/tier etc

Resistance

• Sinners resistance are based on both their Identity and E.G.O equipped. Each Sinner can both have Normal, Fatal or Ineff. Resist type

E.G.O

• E.G.O are obtained via Gacha, and they provide different stats and also ultimate for the Identity equipped with it. Some E.G.O cost Sanity when used, but they can provide powerful damage, supportive or healing ability for the entire squad.

Welcome Extraction

The “Welcome Extraction” Banner is a Special banner in the game that lets you summon 20 times before disappearing. You can receive different “E.G.O” and also “Identities”, and you are guaranteed to receive at least 1 3 Stars Identity in 20 pulls. You can summon on this banner with both Free and Paid Lunacy, with a x1 pull costing 80 Lunacy (discounted from 130) and x10 Pull costing 800 Lunacy (discounted from 1300). Here’s the rates:

Characters

• E.G.O = 1.3% chance

• Identities 3 Stars = 2.9% chance

• Identities 2 Stars = 12.8% chance

• Identities 1 Star = 83% chance

Pity

• Every x10 Summon you are guaranteed to obtain at least 1 Identities 2 Stars

Egoshards

• When you summon a duplicate Identities or E.G.O you already own, you will obtain Egoshard of that character

• E.G.O = 50 Shards

• 3 Stars = 50 Shards

• 2 Stars = 15 Shards

• 1 Star = 3 Shards

Once the season ends, half your egoshard will be converted into Thread.

Target Extraction: Gregor

The “Target Extraction: Gregor” Banner is the first “Rate-Up”  banner in the game. You can receive different “E.G.O” and also “Identities”, with increased Identities Rate up for Gregor. You can summon on this banner with both Free and Paid Currency, with a x1 pull costing 130 Lunacy and x10 Pull costing 1300 Lunacy. You can also summon x1 Daily with Paid Lunacy costing 13 Lunacy (90% Discount from 130) Here’s the rates:

• E.G.O = 1.3% chance

• Identities 3 Stars = 2.9% chance (1.4% Rate Up)

• Identities 2 Stars = 12.8% chance

• Identities 1 Star = 83% chance

Should I Play It? Pro & Cons

Pros

• Great English Translation & Voice Acting

• Unique 2D Art Style

• Very Dark Themed Atmosphere

• Even low tier characters can be strong

Cons

• Voice Acting is Korean Only

• Gameplay feel complicated

• A lot of loading times between stages

• Despite being 2D the game is power demanding (Can cause Freeze, Lag, Crash)

• All characters deal damage but there’s no real dedicated Tank or Healers
