Reverse:1999 - Game Review & Gacha Rates

2023-10-27

In Reverse:1999 the world seems to have come to an end; Something called "The Storm" is destroying everything, and the only person capable of saving everyone from this cataclysm is named Vertin, the Time Keeper! We will take on the role of Vertin. At the beginning of the game, in the year 1966, we will meet Regulus, out at sea with Apple, broadcasting their music over the radio. However, suddenly, a giant sea monster will attack their ship, nearly causing it to sink. At that moment, Sonetto will appear, asking for Vertin's help to save Regulus and recruit her as a fighter for the St. Pavlov Foundation. She will be ready to assist! Thanks to a teleportation spell, we will be able to save Regulus. But it will be at that moment that we will realize she doesn't agree with being recruited and will try to escape. That's when Sonetto will begin to chase her, and we will do the same, with the sole purpose of diverting Sonetto's attention to then carry out the real plan: convincing Regulus to collaborate with us instead of joining the Foundation. Only when time is running out and the world begins to collapse will Regulus be convinced to accept our help. From there, our mission begins: to search for numerous Arcanists and find a way to save as many people as possible from the Storm that is destroying everything, traveling through time!

Game Content

Main Story

Main Story

The “Main Story” in Reverse:1999 is undoubtedly the core of the game, given the beauty of the cutscenes, dialogues, and the plot. During the Main Story, we will face various types of stages. Battle stages are the most common, and we can typically obtain various items, Dust, Clear Drops, etc. Each Battle stage consumes Stamina. In addition to the battle stages, there are also dialogue-only stages that do not consume Stamina. As we continue to progress in the game, we will also encounter secondary stages that help us advance the story and a series of Tutorial Stages that earn us Clear Drops. At the end of the 2nd Chapter, we will gain access to the Main Story in Hard Mode, which provides additional rewards but also more challenging battles. Completing the Main Story will also allow us to upgrade our personal island (Wilderness) and unlock all other game content.

Daily Dungeons

Daily Dungeons

The "Daily Dungeons" are essential for character progression since they are the primary source of Dust and Sharpodonty, necessary for leveling up your characters. There are two daily dungeons:

The Poussière

  • In this dungeon, we will need to face various enemies to earn Dust. Each stage has a Stamina cost, and the difficulty increases as you progress through the stages, but the amount of Dust received also increases.

Mintage Aesthetics

  • Similar to the first Daily Dungeon, in this one, we will need to confront various enemies to earn Sharpodonty. Here, too, each stage has a Stamina cost, and the difficulty increases as you advance through the stages, which also increases the reward received.

Pneuma Analysis

Pneuma Analysis

The "Pneuma Analysis” Dungeon is a game feature that allows you to obtain Psychube and enhancement materials, in addition to the exchange currency for the Psychube shop (Thought Element & Thoughts in Entirety). You can complete up to 2 dungeons per day with increased drops and without stamina cost. Subsequently, you can complete additional dungeons as much as you want, but you won't receive increased drops, and the stages will have a high stamina cost. Once you reach enough currency (Ex: 210) you can exchange a High Grade Psychube from the Shop.

Insight Dungeons

Insight Dungeons

An important part of the progression for each character is the Insight. For this reason, the “Insight Dungeon” is essential to advance our characters and unlock higher levels. Each stage in the Insight Dungeon consumes Stamina, and the rewards, cost, and difficulty increase in ascending order.

Wilderness

Wilderness

The "Wilderness" is our Personal Island that we can decorate as we wish. In addition to its aesthetic aspect, this island also provides various rewards over time (for example, the Dust Tower rewards us with Dust). Furthermore, we can have our favorite characters inhabit the island, and this will increase the Friendship level. As the island level advances, we will also be able to construct other buildings that will provide us with materials and rewards (Sharpodonty, Insight Material, Psychube Materials, etc). Complete the Main Story Chapters to unlock further levels of your Wilderness!
