FortCraft is an open World Battle Royale developed by NetEase games. Just like any other Battle Royale, it puts up one hundred players against numerous other opponents on a vast island based on the map and theme of Fortnite and Minecraft, where only one player will come out alive in the end. Just like any other Battle Royale, you can either play the game solo or with a team. There is no duo mode currently in the game, so be vary of that. Collect Resources from The Start:

 

FortCraft has a vast building element that you should be aware of. The building mechanic alone can help you traverse large areas, defend yourself from enemies, and to get a tactical advantage on everyone else. Building and gathering resources then turn into a core mechanic of the game you were not doing; it would not have you surviving for very long. Therefore, it only makes sense for you to spend time trying to gather resources.

 

The easiest way to gather resources is not through chests, as that is what most people think, but to use your pickaxe/melee weapon to quickly mine resources from the environment around you. This can be from brick houses, trees, or other solid objects. We recommend mining and chopping down wood the most as it provides you with an ample amount of resources. While it is true that iron and bricks are more robust, wood has the same structural integrity. You can traverse the same areas and do the same things you could do with any other material.

 

 

While the other resources are more substantial, it is also important to note that they consume a lot more building time. So, if you want to get into cover quickly, wood will be your best friend. Collecting bricks and iron should be done through chests, mainly as houses and other areas where metal is present is quite hard in the middle of the game where collecting weapons is also essential.

 

Trust your Weapons:

 

Unlike other Battle Royale games where an AR or Sniper Rifle is perhaps the only way, you can win the game for sure. FortCraft tries to diversify itself by introducing an array of new weapons, all of which can be used for a slew of different operations.

 

FortCraft tries to add a lot of variety by adding explosive and projectile weapons into the game. Shotguns are perhaps the best weapons in the game, considering most of the fights you have to deal with are close-ranged. If someone is shooting you from far away, you can use launch pads or build to get close to them quickly. So, the power of something like a heavy shotgun is not to be underestimated as it can one-shot most players at a reasonable range.

 

 

Another weapon that is quite overpowered in certain situations is the rocket launcher. The rocket launcher allows tactics such as rocket jumping, where you can jump on an ongoing rocket shot by a friend to get to a building quickly. You can then annihilate foes with the element of surprise and decimate them.

 

Taking Down Buildings:

 

Sometimes, however, you might face off against some teams which are good at building. Using shotguns and rocket launchers might not work against them as they will start merely rebuilding. In these cases, your best bet is to always go for an SMG or AR. Both of these weapons have high fire rates and damage that can shred down buildings with ease. If you are lucky enough to find a golden LMG, you can take down enemy structures even quicker.

 

You can also use high fidelity grenades, sticky-bombs and C4 to take down enemy buildings as well. Generally, shooting at the base will render the best results. Many players make the mistake of shooting at the walls where they know the player is in. While this may be effective, these walls can quickly be rebuilt as the player is right next to them.

 

A more effective way to deal with a pesky base is to start destroying the base. Keep in mind that unlike Minecraft, FortCraft does have gravity! So, if you were to shoot the base, everything above it would come tumbling down, which might mean that the defenders will have a high chance of dying from fall damage. In any case, it should destroy any chances of their base being up.

 

Use your Consumables Wisely:

 

Consumables are an integral part of FortCraft. The game has you playing with two health bars. One is a green health bar, and the other is blue. There is no difference between the two in terms of damage absorption. You do not naturally regenerate health in the game. However, you can easily refill your health at a staggering pace, unlike most other Battle Royales, by consuming potions and med-packs.

 

 

Most of them are rarely found in the game. Try to always keep some small potions with you as you can quickly get some blue health back by taking them. Do not use med packs or the larger potion unless you know you are safe, as they force you to stay static for quite a while. Using bandages and small potions in skirmishes at optimal times can make the real difference between you dying and living.
