What is Tower Of Fantasy?
Released on 11 August 2022, Tower Of Fantasy is a MMORPG with Gacha Element (Weapons that also come with Character Skins). The game is a Fast Action MMORPG where you can create your own Character, and use a maximum of Three different Weapons together for a mixed combat strategy. With high rarity Weapons (SR & SSR) also comes new skins for your characters, that you can obtain the first time you unlock a new high rarity Weapon. The game features different content, from Story & Sub Story Mission, a rich plot, different Mini games, Dungeons, Events, PvP and much more! The game is completely Free to Play, but Weapons summons can also be done with Real Money. If you liked games like Genshin Impact in the past, but also want a MMORPG experience playing with other players, and fight in PvP, Tower Of Fantasy is a must play for you!
Early Game Content
Main Story
The “Main Story” in Tower Of Fantasy is the core experience of the game. After a few minutes in the game, once you finish the fast tutorial, you will see the very vast area of the game. In the Main Story you will experience the plot of the game, but you can also stop anytime and explore every part of the lands. You can find Treasure Chests to open for rewards, such as Black and Gold Nucleus. You can also kill monsters for drop and experience, or hunt bosses and explore areas for Achievement. Anything you do in the game gives you different rewards. Maps are plenty of Black Nucleus (Summon currency) to find out, and a lot of Normal/Timed and One-Time Treasure Chests to loot. Take your time and explore a lot!
Bounty Mission
The “Bounty Mission” is the common “Daily Mission” you usually have in any gacha. In Tower Of Fantasy, you have 4 random missions to complete every day, resetting at 5 AM. Everytime you complete a bounty you get rewards, but also increase your Bounty Activity Level. With High level, your chance of getting a high difficulty bounty with great rewards is also increased. Remember to complete your bounty everyday!
Trainings
The “Trainings” is a Daily Content where you will play “Mini Games” like Battle Monsters, Flying in Circles, Running etc. The fast and higher the score in those mini games, the better the rewards. With Training Points, you can get Weapons and Matrices Exp Items, but also Gifts, essentially for unlocking Weapons Strong Passive Ability.
Ruins
The “Ruins” is a “Level Gated” content that will reward you with Relics, useful equippable items that will help you during your adventure. Everytime you reach the right level for entering it, you will be notified by the game. Complete ruins for getting also Relic shards, used for leveling up your Relics.
Joint Operation (Energy Content)
The “Joint Operation” is the first Group content you unlock using Energy or commonly known as Stamina. You get 1 point of Energy every 8 minutes, and Joint Operation requires 90 Energy for getting all the rewards. Those rewards vary from Chips to Equipment. The equipment you can get is different for each day of the week.
Dimensional Traits (Energy Content)
The “Dimensional Traits” is a Group content that will help you level up and upgrade both your Weapons and Matrices. At the start you can choose if you wanna get Weapons or Matrices items, and everytime you complete this Content it will cost you 30 Energy.
Weapons & Chips
Weapons
In Tower Of Fantasy, the Weapons are literally your Character. You can use Three Different weapons at once, and can change them when you are not in combat. There’s 3 type of weapons:
Weapon Type
- Dps-Type Weapon: With a Red Icon, they are usually weapons that focus on doing damage.
- Tank-Type Weapon: Usually Heavy Weapons, they offer damage reduction or protective ability, while also increased aggro and taunt for keep enemies on you
- Healer-Type Weapon: Usually Low Damage Weapon but can restore HP to anyone near you or Shield them from damage.
Resonance
- When you equip 2 of the same Type Weapon or 1 type of each weapon, you will activate Resonance
- 2 DPS-Type Weapon Resonance: 10% Damage | In team play 40% more Damage
- 2 Tank-Type Weapon Resonance: 25% Damage Reduction, Shatter +60% and Aggry +800% | In team Play further boost Damage Reduction by 25%
- 2 Healer-Type Weapon Resonance: 100% increased healing done | In team play, further 100% increased
- Balanced-Type Weapon (1 for each type): 5% increased damage, Shatter and healing +20% | In team play, increase final damage by 20%
Elements
- Another important aspect of each Weapon is the Element. Some monsters have low resistance to a particular element, and also high resistance to the opposite usually. You can check it on the icon near the monster name. Also each element have a chance to proc a special status:
- Fire: Fully Charged Fire Weapons set the target on fire for 8 sec, causing damage, while also lowering the target heal received by 50%
- Frost: Fully Charged Frost Weapons will freeze the target for 2 sec, causing damage if shattered and lower the target Weapon Charge rate by 50%
- Volt: Fully Charged weapon will Paralyze the target for 1 sec and electrify them for 6 sec, negate any buff
- Physical: Fully Charged Weapon deal 100% weapon damage and leave the target Vulnerable for 7 sec, increase damage taken by 20%
With upcoming patches, there will also be more elements like Winds, etc.
Weapons can also be leveled (with Weapons Exp Battery) and “Advanted” with Weapons Dupes (Cores)
Matrices
Another important aspect for Weapons is also the “Matrices”. These “chips” can increase your weapons power, attributed (HP, Crit, Damage etc.) while also giving your weapons new passive effects. There’s a total of 4 type of Matrices:
- Emotion: Increase Attack and Resistance
- Thoughts: Increase HP and Crit
- Faith: Increase Attack and HP
- Memory: Increase Attack and HP
Same as Weapons, Matrices can also be Leveled with Matrices Exp Chip and “Advanced” with Matrices Dupes
Combat
Having a good weapon in Tower Of Fantasy is not all, since being an action game means you need practice to also use those weapons in the best way. Every Weapon in Tower Of Fantasy features a “Combo Move Set”. You can find all the combos for any weapon by clicking on the button with this symbol “( ! )” near your Minimap, and check “Weapon Skill”.
With the Combo Move Set, you have also:
- Passive Skills Effect based on your weapon element
- 1 Active Skill that can be used anytime
- 1 Switch Skill that can be used once your weapon is fully charged
With also the ability to switch between 3 weapons, you can create your own combat style in Tower Of Fantasy, just remember to check the target vulnerability, and use Resonance appropriate to your role

The “Choice Weapon” Banner Black Nucleus version is the most common banner in the game. It only features the Starters Weapons (9 SSR 5 SR 4 R) while also some Enhancement materials. Black Nucleus is the most common currency for Summoning, and you can find them while exploring the world and in the support store. Here’s the Rates:

It features nearly only Weapons, but also a small chance to get Battery (Exp Material). Gold Nucleus is a common currency for Summoning, and you can find them while exploring the world, in support stores, bounty missions, Story and Event rewards. Here’s the Rates:

- SR Weapons: 1% to 12%
- R Weapons: 91.4% to 80%

- High Energy Battery: 6%

- You obtain 1 Black Gold with every summon. You can Exchange 120 Black Gold for a Duplicate Weapon that you already own.
Choice Matrices
The “Choice Matrices” Banner is unlocked once reaching Level 20. These Matrices are only summonable with special currency you can get from Store, Events, Clotho Supply Pod and some game Packs. It features only Matrices. Here’s the Rates:

- R Matrices: 90.8% to 77.3%

- You obtain 1 “Base Chips” with every summon. You can Exchange 80 “Base Chips” for a SSR Matrices
Rebirth Of Clemency
The “Rebirth of Clemency” Banner is the “Rate-Up” Banner in Tower Of Fantasy. You can only summon in this banner with Red Nucleus, and you can only obtain Red Nucleus with Game Packs/Real Money or Exchanging Dark Crystals (150x 1 Red). It features nearly only Weapons, but also a small chance to get Battery (Exp Material). Red Nucleus is a rare Currency, and Rate-Up Banner usually lasts 2 or 3 weeks. If you don’t get to pity before it ends, all Flame Gold (Rebirth) Currency will be converted into Black Gold Currency, so plan your pull wisely. Here’s the Rates:

The “Reconstruction” Banner is the “Rate-Up” banner for Matrices. The currency for this banner is obtainable with Dark Crystals or real money packs. It features only Matrices. Here’s the Rates:
