Ta'abbudiy problem
It seems that there is no dispute among scholars that the issue of inheritance or Faraidh is a matter of ta'abbudiy in religion; aka ritual problems that have very little chance of ijtihad in it.
The reason is because Allah s.w.t. has determined the share of each heir with a value that has been determined through revelation. Then there is no need to bother with jithad about how much is the mother's share or how much is the wife's share; Allah SWT. already explained.
In fact, it's not just how much the quota is determined, but who gets the quota is explained in detail. This is explained in detail in the letter al-Nisa' 11 to 13, and also at the end of the letter al-Nisa', namely verse 176; about kallalah (a person who dies without leaving children).
That's why this knowledge is called by the term Faraidh; because Faraidh itself is a plural or plural word from the word mufrad or single Faridhah whose root word comes from the word Fardh which means fixed or certain.
