Muhammad Siddiq al-Minshawi (January 1, 1920 – June 20, 1969) was an exceptional Egyptian Quranic reciter, recognized globally for his outstanding recitation skills. He was the esteemed son of Sheikh Siddiq al-Minshawi, and his brother, Sheikh Mahmoud al-Minshawi, is also a prominent Quran reciter.
Sheikh Muhammad Siddiq al-Minshawi was a student of the renowned Sheikh Mohammed Salamah, a great reciter of the 20th century. He learned the science of Tajweed under the expert guidance of Sheikh Ibrahim As-Su'udi at a very young age.
Throughout his life, Sheikh Muhammad Siddiq al-Minshawi visited numerous countries, including Indonesia, Jordan, Kuwait, Libya, Palestine (Al-Aqsa Mosque), Saudi Arabia, and Syria, for the purpose of spreading the message of Islam and promoting the recitation of the Quran.
Sheikh Mohamed Siddiq El-Minshawi (Arabic: الشيخ محمد الصديق المنشاوي) was born in Upper Egypt on January 20, 1920, and passed away on June 20, 1969. He was deeply influenced by his father and was also a protégé of Mohamed Salamah, a renowned reciter of the 20th century. He mastered the rules of recitation under the mentorship of Ibrahim As-Su'oodi at an early age. Muhammad Siddiq El-Minshawi has become a household name in the Muslim world, known for his impeccable Tajweed and unique recitation style. He was a prolific author, writing several books on various aspects of the Quran. Additionally, he was involved in the calligraphic printing of the Quranic text and the "World of Islam Festival."
