The Riwayah is transmitted by Hafs al-Douri, on the authority of Yahya al-Yazidi, on the authority of Abu 'Amr ibn al-'Ala' al-Basri, from Mujahid ibn Jabr, from Abdullah ibn Abbas, from Ubayy ibn Ka'b, who received it directly from the Prophet Muhammad.
Abu 'Amr ibn al-'Ala' al-Basri was a Qāriʾ from a branch of the Banu Tamim tribe. He studied under Ibn Abi Ishaq and was a distinguished scholar of Arabic grammar, in addition to his Quranic expertise, founding the Basran school of grammar. His students included notable figures such as Al-Khalil ibn Ahmad al-Farahidi, Yunus ibn Habib, and Harun ibn Musa. Though he never met Sibawayhi, often considered the father of Arabic grammar, Sibawayhi quotes Abu 'Amr 57 times in his famous Kitab, mainly through the transmission of Ibn Habib and al-Farahidi.

Nureyn Muhammad Siddiq was born in 1982 in a town called Farajab, Sudan. In 1998, he enrolled in Khalwa school in Khorsi and became a student of the esteemed scholar Sheikh Makki in Sudan. After completing his studies, he continued his Islamic education in Khorsi, dedicating 20 years to learning from various scholars. He eventually became a disciple of Sheikh Makki in Khartoum. Nureyn Muhammad Siddiq was born in Umm Dam locality in North Kordofan state and was raised in a spiritually enriched environment. At the age of 17, he memorized the Qur’an in both the qira'at of Al-Douri 'an Abi 'Amr and Hafs. He later attended the Islamic Holy Quran University, from which he graduated. Siddiq participated in numerous international Quran competitions, earning placements in contests in Malaysia, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and Libya.
Qari Nureyn Muhammad Siddiq gained widespread recognition across the Muslim world through his recitation videos on social media. Several of his videos have accumulated millions of views on YouTube.
On November 7, 2020, Noreen Muhammad Siddiq tragically lost his life in a car accident in Khartoum at the age of 38. Three other Quranic reciters, Ali Yaqoub, Abdullah Awad Al-Karim, and Muhannad Al-Kinani, also perished in the accident, while a fourth reciter, Sayed bin Omar, was injured. The group was about 18 kilometers from Omdurman, returning from Wadi Halfa, when their vehicle reportedly collided with a truck. His death prompted an outpouring of tributes on social media.
