The reciter "Yassin Fakih", known as "Yassin Al-Jazairi" or "Reciter Yassin", is one of the reciters whom God endowed with a melodious voice and perfect pronunciation. He is the owner of the first recorded Qur’an with the narration of Warsh from Tariq Al-Azraq in Algeria.
The reader, Yassin Fakih, was born in 1969 in El Harrach. He obtained a “Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry” from the Higher School for Teacher Training in El Qobba. He also studies at the Faculty of Sharia at the University of Algiers, specializing in the Fundamentals of Religion.
The reciter Yassin Al-Jazairi led people in Tarawih for the first time when he was only 15 years old, in the Martyrs’ Mosque in the “La Fayounis” neighborhood in El Harrach. Regarding this experience, Sheikh Yassin says that he felt very great confusion, “which is a normal thing considering his young age,” and he now has an episode.
