イージータイマー 見やすい!わかりやすい! Description
The biggest feature of the easy timer is "easy to see the remaining time". Many timer apps display a countdown of the remaining time. However, Easy Timer uses a visual UI that allows even children to see the remaining time at a glance. It looks like an hourglass, for example, a red-filled circle disappears in a fan shape over time, and finally disappears completely. Since the remaining time is displayed in color and shape, even children who do not yet understand the time can easily share the time and communicate with each other, saying, "When this red circle disappears, it's over."
Conventional timer apps are easy for adults to understand, but small children such as 2 and 3 years old still have no concept of time. As a father who is raising a child, I say, "You can look at the toys at the toy store, but you can look at them for five more minutes." We don't understand how long it will take. Therefore, I thought that there was a tool that could convey the time more clearly, and developed this "Easy Timer".
When making this app, I wanted children to not only tell the time, but also have them move independently. In order to have children set an alarm, we prepared 9 colors and made it possible to choose shapes such as squares and stars as well as circles.
When using it with a child, first let the child choose the color and shape and set the time. Then ask the child, "When this blue circle is gone, can we go home?"
Of course, even if you use this app, it doesn't mean that your child will move 100% as you wish. However, I would like to use it as a communication tool to convey a sense of time, even if just a little.
My son is happy to see this app, and when the time is over, he often says, "I'm done." Sometimes it doesn't end at once, but it still helps to tell 'how much time is left', and after trying it many times, it's convinced.
Due to its simplicity, Easy Timer is a useful tool not only for those raising children, but also for students who are studying and who want to visually grasp the time rather than looking at concrete numbers.
