This app is an unofficial fan-made digital adaptation of Deep Space D-6, a fantastic solitaire board game by Tau Leader Games. You are the captain of a spaceship deep inside enemy territory, and you need to make the best use of your crew to make it out. You will be rolling dice, which represent your crew, and assigning them to different stations to deal with incoming external and internal threats. Will you use your science die to recharge shields or fix that time warp? Will you send your engineers to deal with a robot uprising or repair your hull? Although I like the aspect to the game, as many other players have pointed out, the game relies heavily on dice chance. There are no storages for attacks or other crew roles, meaning each round is independent from the round before. While that may sound like an extra challenge, plenty of times you will reach the end with full stats, but still lose because the dice were not in your favour, where the player has little flexibilty on changing the outcome

To echo a few other reviews, it's fun to play, but the random element of it means that you can be doing really well, but a few bad dice rolls will destroy you without any ability to stop it, and that's frustrating. I feel like some once only special power ups may help to mitigate those events. I've still yet to win once on Easy, as I've always encountered a series of bad dice rolls near the end.

Ultimately it's a game where you're asked to manage resources thoughtfully, but the outcome is largely random. You'll never be able to win every time. There are rolls that can bring you from full health to dead in 1 turn. The enemies are revealed and have a chance to àctivate before you can interact with them. A 3 enemy combo can kill you, where 2 of them came out after your turn. Also, a lot of your dice are very often, literally useless especially if you're at full health, that's not fun.
