The digital care assistant ELLY is a luminaire for elderly people with different functionalities:
An individually adjustable orientation light directs people in need of care to the next door or bathroom and back through subtle light accents, thus supporting the orientation of people with disability in the dark. Furthermore, ELLY forwards a bed exit signal to the caregivers or relatives by communicating via an app. This function is taking pressure off the nursing staff and relatives.
