EPFL Panel Lémanique Description
EPFL's LaSUR lab has launched a new application that allows users to track their mobility behaviour and provide valuable data for reasearch! The Panel Lémanique app offers users the chance to review where they've been and how they got there, providing an overview of their daily movements thanks to the available map. Additionally, users can find out which transport means were the fastest for them and which they used most often, thanks to personal statistics generated by the app.
The app is part of a research project conducted by EPFL's LaSUR lab, which aims at understanding individual mobility behaviour in the Lémanic region to cut carbon emissions for a more sustainable future. The app collects data on user movements, such as the time and location of their journeys, which are then analysed to provide insights into how people travel and what factors influence their mobility behaviour. This information can be used to inform policy decisions and improve transportation infrastructure
