Rádio Ideal FM 98,1 Description
The history of Rádio Ideal... Our radio was founded right at the beginning of the pandemic, which hit Brazil and Juiz de Fora in March 2020. However, before that, we already had a small homemade radio called "Rádio Flash", which it was just for listening in the backyard. We also did some commercials. Over time, the neighborhood started to listen and ask us to record on flash drives, as some liked the songs.
So we did, we recorded some flash drives for the neighbors. Later, one of them suggested: "Why don't you build a real radio? That way we can listen to our radio at home!" Following this idea, we started looking for a frequency on Dion that was unoccupied. We then remember the extinct Radio 98 from the 80s. We went around the city with the frequency on 98.1, we drove from north to south, east to west, but we didn't find another radio on that frequency.
We decided to go to some competent bodies to register attendance, but we were unable to do so. We continued using the frequency, and, lying in bed, I looked at a box of a frying pan, which said "IDEAL for preparing food". So I said, "Oops!" I looked at my daughter and asked: "What if we named the radio station IDEAL?" She replied, "It's a cool name." Thus, we abandoned the homemade name "Rádio Flash" and started using the frequency 98.1 Rádio Ideal FM.
On April Fools' Day, April 1st, we opened FM radio in 2020. Initially we were a conventional radio until we reached the internet. Since then, we have been both a conventional radio and a web radio. We remind everyone that we are a community radio. We are here with the help of the great father, the Almighty God. Amen.
