Play Harry Dresden and his friends as they take on the cases from the bestselling Dresden Files novels in the ultimate what-if scenario—what if Harry was on the scene with allies who weren’t there in the original story? The core game includes Harry, Murphy, Susan, Michael, and the Alphas and plays through the first five novels as well as Side Jobs, a random scenario generator based on the short story collection of the same name. Not enough content for $7. More books? Its $4 for 2 and you get 2 more people. Thats $20 for the rest of the books so this game should say $27. Its bs. The game is interesting, but on harder books, you have to get a near perfect spread and draw to actually win, so you have to restart about 50 times. Im giving it a 3 because the art/sound, the setting, and the quality of the programming. -2 for cost-to-content ratio. Buy it if it goes on sale, but NOT at full price.

I'd been eyeing this for a while, and when I saw that it was on sale recently, I grabbed it. Sadly, I didn't enjoy it all; I found it too RNG-intensive. For example, if your obstacles are too far out of range, you're in a *lot* of trouble, and I never seemed to clear cases or enemies in the Showdown at the end.

I love the Dresden files card game. Absolutely love it. But this is almost unwinnable. I have the physical copy at home, and yeah sometimes I roll a bad die. But this game seems to consistently give me bad rolls. I've played probably 5 games and each time I roll it gives horrible results. So...is this really random? or is it just having you fail so that you keep playing it? kinda bummed by this.
