I give the ring 4 stars because it works very well but there is no option to store your videos local without a subscription. If they add this option then I'd rate it 5. Update: 2 months after purchasing they raised the subscription fee by 20 percent so I've downgraded to 1 star and will be looking for a replacement. When in the app it's basically one big advertisement trying to get you to buy other products.
Does not allow for clear conversations with the floodlight cam wired plus. Always garbled or unintelligible. Support was no help. Signals are strong. Camera views are excellent, and notifications work great. Wish there was a way to correct the conversations. It's amazing that there is no fix ring can come up with. I would think, at the very least, they would send me a new one. Even while I pay the ever increasing subscription fees. And I have no desire to join Facebook to search for anything.
Absolute garbage app and cameras. We use them because our new house was fully equipped, but it's the worst cam experience I've ever had. Cameras aren't always on, so can't see what lead up to or after an event. That's IF the event even gets recognized, which it often doesn't. 2 min max recording time also means that if it thinks the motion is the same thing, you only get 2 minutes and have to hope something of value is recorded - like the actual crime itself. Get Eufy, Wyze, or last, Nest.
