Let’s play Arknights on PC and find out together!
The An Obscure Wanderer event is divided into 3 different types of stages, one of which is the main event story stages. These stages will serve as players’ primary source of farming and event currencies.
There’s a total of 8 stages in the main story stages section and clearing them will reward players with 8 Originites in total when players first clear stages.
In addition, farming these stages will grant players event currencies needed to be used to exchange for event exclusive materials in the shop. The amount of currencies obtainable is proportional to the amount of sanity spent for each stage and every stage will have a special material that might be dropped once clear, therefore players should pick a stage that has the materials you need and farm that stage throughout the event for maximum efficiency.
In addition to the main story stages, a total of 8 EX Challenge stages, offering challenging stages that players only need to clear once to claim their full rewards.
When first clearing the EX challenge stages, players will be able to activate the Challenge Mode, enhancing the difficulty of the stages and reward players with an additional Originites for each clear for a total of 8 extra Originites.
These stages are extremely dangerous and difficult to clear, therefore players should pay attention and strengthen their squad before attempting to clear these stages.
During the Event Period, unlike other events, the special event currencies from the An Obscure Wanderer Event can be dropped not only from main event story stages but also from special specific normal battle stages like resource stages and Main Story Stages from Chapter 0 to Chapter 10 of the Arknights Main Story.
During this period, when farming materials from these kinds of stages outside of the event, players will be able to obtain the special event currencies even if they are not farming the Event stages. Each stage will reward players with event currencies proportional to the amount of Sanity (or Stamina) they spend on the stage to clear them and they are counted as extra drops, not interfering with the normal drop rates of stages.
It is important to note that certain stages aren’t affected by this change like Contingency Contracts Test Stages, Annihilation stages and other event recollections stages.
The event shop is also available for all players during the event’s duration for players to exchange for special event exclusive items and character upgrading materials.
The main important thing players should focus on getting in the event is the brand new event limited skin available for exchange for the 4* Guard Operator Utage’s limited time available skin
In addition, other important items to exchange include Information Fragments, Module Upgrade materials and character upgrading materials available from the shop. The priority should go from Module upgrading materials > Information Fragments > Character EXPs > Skill Books > Other materials.
Extra stories is a special feature available for the An Obscure Wanderer event where players can spend special Information Fragments in order to unlock 6 different special side stories related to the stories of previous events. After unlocking these story stages, players will be able to play them and read the stories inside of them whenever they like as long as the event is still in its running period.
Players will need to have completely unlocked and read the 6 stories in order to fully finish the An Obscure Wanderer event and obtain the special medal associated with the running of the event. The 6 Information Fragments required to unlock these story nodes can easily be exchanged in the Event Shop.
Together with the An Obscure Wanderer limited time event’s release, Arknights will be holding a special rate up banner featuring 2 brand new operators for players to attempt to roll for - the 5* Supporter Proviso and the 6* Liberty Guard Mlynar.
Proviso is a Decel Binder Archetype Supporter 5* Operator with the ability to debuff and slow down a large number of enemies within her range using her special arts and skills.
As a Decel Binder archetype Supporter of the Kazimierz faction, Proviso has the ability to grant both herself and a random Kazimierz Operator on the field up to 12 attack speed and 8% attack up simply by deploying herself on the field. This helps to boost the damage potential of Kazimierz operators on the field as they heavily rely on attack speed buffs to deal good damage within their skill’s duration.
Another strong point for Proviso is that her skill is a good burst skill with the ability to deal up to 300% of her attack as damage to enemies within her range instantly and then massively reduces her attack intervals, allowing her to slow the enemies down to a crawl as long as she has her skill up. This not only helps with crowd control in the stage but also allow other Kazimierz operators to utilize this time to recover their skills’ cooldown.
Mlynar is a 6* Liberty Guard with the ability to completely overwhelm the enemy with his massive amount of damage and wide-range skill when his skill is active, making him one of the game’s most powerful wave killers and overall meta DPS of the modern age.
Mlynar’s archetype of Liberty Guard means that unless his skill is activated, Mlynar will not attack or block enemies who come his way, instead, he will focus on charging his skills in order to activate them instantly when the time comes. This comes with 2 benefits - 1 is that he will be able to bypass most forms of enemies’ damage while he is charging his skill, preventing him from dying prematurely and 2 is that this allows him to go behind enemy’s line and deal damage to them from behind.
Mlynar’s most powerful skill lies in his 3rd skill which, when activated, grants him up to 160% attack up, expands his attack range massively and allows him to deal up to 180% of his attack as damage to 5 enemies within range at the same time. In addition, while this skill is active, any damage dealt by Kazimierz Operators will be supplemented with true damage equal to 12% of Mlynar’s attack stat, ensuring that if his skill isn’t enough to kill the enemy (which it most definitely will), other Kazimierz Operators can pick up the slack and finish the job.
Absolutely YOU SHOULD. Especially if you are building a Kazimierz eccentric strategy. Both Proviso and Mlynar are extremely powerful and useful operators to have at your disposal, with Mlynar being one of the game’s most powerful modern DPS options available, so getting him in his solo rate up is the single best time you should try and roll for him.
