With the update coming to Epic Seven this middle of January, a variety of heroes will receive special skill changes and gameplay mechanic updates. With this rendition of Epic Seven, a total of 6 5* heroes will experience changes to their kit, some are major changes to how their kit work and some or minor adjustments to their kit in order to make them easier to use or to strengthen their PvE and PvP capabilities.
Of the 6 5* heroes, 3 of them are Moonlight heroes and the other 3 are normal Covenant Heroes.
Judge Kise is a 5* Light Warrior Hero that specializes in hindering enemies’ momentum and power by going first and inflicting them with various powerful debuffs that massively hinders the enemy’s team skill usage. However, she has always been a lackluster performing hero in that she doesn’t exactly perform her job well.
With the new buff, well, Epic Seven decided to not only change her job altogether, but they have also given her several new shiny buffs to help become more viable in the current game meta. With this brand new buff, Judge Kise’s 2nd skill will now allow her to remove all buffs from enemies then inflict them with debuffs that make them unable to counter and decrease their defense for 2 turns. In addition, Judge Kise’s 3rd skill will now deal massive amounts of damage to all enemies, increasing their skill cooldowns by 1, preventing the enemies from activating their skills when attacking.
With this buff, Judge Kise will now do her job as a battle opener more effectively, allowing the team to do their things while massively hindering the enemies’ abilities if Judge Kise where to go first in a fight.
Specimen Sez is a 5* Light Thief that specializes in dealing massive amounts of damage and punishing enemies that was inflicted with the Stun debuff. Specimen Sez skills revolves around inflicting all enemies with the stun debuff in order to help initiate his own skill kit’s main strong point which is her 3rd skill. Specimen Sez 3rd skill is a very powerful skill that has very powerful effects but very optional initiation conditions. With this buff, his kit has experienced a big change in order to help him survive longer in fights against dangerous enemies.
Specimen Sez’s buff revolves around his 2nd skill passive, which previously grants him a 20% chance to counterattack whenever an ally other than him is attacked by the enemy. However, this passive is not as good due to its low percentage and low viability, therefore, it has been changed so that Specimen Sez now has an innate 50% dodge rate, allowing him to dodge enemies’ attacks better, helping to keep him alive longer in the fight.
Spirit Eye Celine is a 5* Light Elemental Hero that has the special ability to not only revive all dead allies with her 3rd skill but also granting her and all allies 1 turn Immortality, preventing them from dying for an extra turn after reviving them from the dead.
Once Spirit Eye Celine has activated her 3rd skill, she will be granted a special buff status called “Possessed” that allow her access to the enhanced version of her 1st skill and allow her to counterattack with her 1st skill whenever she is hit with a critical hit from the enemy.
With her new buff, her special normal attacks when she is possessed will now penetrate the enemies’ defense by 50% and absorb a percentage of the damage as health to heal herself. In addition, Spirit Eye Celine’s 2nd skill passive will now grant her a 25% attack increase. This buff will massively increase Spirit Eye Celine’s power in PvP contents, allowing her to deal massive amounts of damage against enemies and survive longer in fights with her abilities.
Hwayoung is a 5* Fire Warrior that previously specializes in one shotting enemies with her attacks that penetrates enemies’ defense proportional to the difference between her own attack stat and the enemies’.
With the January Hero Balance Update Patch, Hwayoung’s skill kit will experience drastic changes. Hwayoung’s normal 1st skill attack will now allow her to deal damage proportionally to her attack to the enemy as an additional instance of damage and it will have its damage modifiers increased. For her 2nd skill passive, Hwayoung will no longer have an innate 30% attack stat increase, instead she will receive an additional effect where if she is not debuffed at the start of the turn, she will be granted an attack increase buff, increasing her attack buff by 50%. Finally, her 3rd skill will now grant her a barrier buff in addition to granting her an immunity buff, with the barrier strength increasing proportional to her attack stats, allowing her to last longer against enemies’ attacks.
Elena is a 5* Ice Elemental Soul Weaver that specializes in buffing allies with the invincibility and effect resistance increase buff whenever the team is hit by an attack that targets the entire team.
With her new buff, Elena will be able to do her job even with her 3rd skill dispelling 1 debuff each from all allies before granting the team the invincibility buff, allowing her to prevent situations where her buffs can be granted to all allies due to unbuffable debuffs on the allies, making her more powerful and help her to fulfill her role better in both PvE and PvP settings.
Command Model Laika is a 5* Earth Elemental Ranger that specializes in putting enemies’ to sleep and initiating dual attacks with the ally with the highest attack stat to quickly dispatch the enemy team’s strongest heroes.
Command Model Laika serves as a support hero of sorts with her powerful debuff that puts all of the enemies to sleep and inflicts them with the defense down to make it easier for allies to deal with them by bypassing their evasion and their defenses. However, due to the lower success rate of her abilities, Command Model Laika hasn’t been utilized widely. With this Hero balance update patch, her chance to inflict these debuffs have been increased to 100%, making her more powerful and more like to land her debuffs, allowing her to become a more viable option as a second or third debuffer and opener against enemies in PvP settings like Arena and World Arena.
